Maybe it was the hair raising do styled in the way of North Korean leader Kim Jung-il (complete with sunglasses)? Nah.
Despite being a “number that nobody hates,” Se7en’s luck quotient failed to bring in the packed crowds of fans and supporters due to the snowstorm (and we all know that people on the west coast can’t drive in snow!). All but the diehard fans (a few hundred) and some press managed to brave the weather.
A local CBS affiliate station KIRO 97.3 FM, briefly interviewed the pop act and divulged to us that Se7en’s Engrish skills were “ pretty good….only hesitated a little.” So we know that English is a given if you want to step on American soil. We shouldn’t even question it. The bigger questions is – -what about his music?
Will Se7en get lucky in America?
If you were there partying away, let us know!
Check out the pics of Se7en’s performance at the Freemont Studios in Seattle on December 13th.
Hat tip to Richard Lee and Jill for the photos.

Yeah….I doubt the snow kept people away in that part of the country. I think snow is being used as an excuse. Becuase when I want to see a show…unless it’s a tornado.. I will go see the show. Especially if the person doesn’t come to town that often or has never been there before.
What a disgrace. JK. Se7en just needs to keep his ass in Korea.
My friends and I braved the snow and roads for him and it was worth it. He seemed really tired though so we understood that his perfs lacked a little but he still did great!
hahah You’ve got to admit, there’s a resemblance in hairstyle!
Aww poor Se7en, I guess he’s not lucky. Everyone who went probably still had a good time though. But yeah those shoes do not go with that outfit. O_O
damn hes still so HOT!!!!!!!!he makes those girls in the back look good(just gud)…..
saranghaeyo se7en!!!!!!!GUDLUCK!!!!!!!
AWW HE LOOKS SO SHORT!
BUT FIGHTING!
WHOO MAKE US KOREANS PROUD!!
poor se7en!!!!but that ok!! we still ur fan!!!! luv u!!!>_<
OMG. this got me cracking (well, sorta). that’s funny.
Ok, I live in Seattle WA, and I do not see any promotion for his concert before. there is no advertising whatsoever. I don’t think he’s going to do well in America.
Se7en is just fo hot and sexy!!!! Gosh!!! I love him!! I would have went to the party if it was the eand of the world. xDDD <3333
hahaha it was only about an inch of snow – but for most seattlites it counts as a snow storm – we really can’t drive in this stuff!
i don’t know, most everybody here who knows a little bit about korea knew he was coming but most didn’t really seem to care
Good luck to the Seven, please.
It’s like a non-Koreans,
His dream was to go out, how nice it?
People looked at him the same dream, hope to be able to
With a mind to make that dream into reality and a warm heart,
I want you to be with you!
Let’s do this, please!
Seven is the perfect singer!
I want to pay even a scratch
Hold on me!
If you look like an idiot, I do!
Can someone tell me how much was the ticket? I missed this event.
I was planning on going too! But then, I woke up and there was snow on the road. And I lived in Kenmore, and Federal Way was pretty far… I’m so sad I missed SE7EN oppa. ToT Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!! >.<
@Pal:
I don’t think it was a ticketed event. You just showed up for the fansigning I believe.
I totally was going to go. I mean, Federal way is only 45-ish minutes from where I live. But like POPSEOUL said, the snow and ice was pretty bad considering I live on a hill.
My friend managed to go and she told me that most of the attendees were crazed Korean-American fangirls. Which is to be assumed.
im not his die hard fan but i made it there
it took like 40 mins to get there…and damn it was cold…i mean, i went there yesterday and now i have a high fever cause i wait outside only for 5MINs…just 5 mins and im that sick >_>
What is wrong with him?! When will he learn that he’s never going to make it in the states?
Seven, please go home where you are still loved….I hope!
Just would like to say big ups to my friend Richard Lee. Doing well bro!
I agree with the others. With his popularity, had it not been for the bad, nasty weather, I’m sure more people will attend his concert. There will be other days for another concert I’m sure. It’s just that, the concert took place at the wrong time. You cannot take the risk driving in bad weather conditions that even highway patrol and of course all TV stations will alert you. Till next time then.
Se7en arrived close to 1:30 pm (30 mins ahead of schedule). He arrived in a white stretch Escalade limo accompanied by some Whisper Entertainment people (I assume) and Jinu. Everyone just went nuts when he started ducking out of the limo, so he stood up for a few seconds, gave a pose to give everyone a chance to take a pic. He was then whisked away inside along with the entourage. Shortly after, he came back outside with a mic and started talking to everyone in line. He basically thanked us for braving the cold to attend the fansign and also for the support we’ve given him, then he said if we could wait only a couple of seconds more he’ll see us soon inside. Then the security started to let the Verizon VIPs in a few small groups at a time.
My turn came after one of my friends, and Se7en looked up at me and smiled, so I walked over. He held up his hand to shake mines and he said, “Hello. What’s your name?” I replied back with a “Hi, my name is Rovila.” At the same time I handed over my post-it note with my name written on it. (He wrote our names on the posters, and so the radio station people had handed us postit notes earlier while we were in line to ensure that Se7en spelled our names correctly.) As he was signing my poster, he was thanking me for the support (I think this must’ve been a common content of each conversation at the event). My mind had already blanked out the moment he got there, so I was kind of blocked for conversation material. I just kinda stared at him with this goofy smile on my face. So, when my friend handed this Verizon employee her camera to get my pic taken with Se7en, he realized it before I did. XD Got the pic taken and then he handed me my signed poster and shook my hand again. I told him good luck as he was shaking my hand that 2nd time and he smiled again and said thank you.
All in all, I was totally impressed about how the whole event was handled. I’ve heard “horror” stories of how they rush through everyone in line and everything, so I was a bit apprehensive about this one. But I’m glad that they took their time (granted they also started half an hour earlier than scheduled too). Se7en was totally awesome (not to mention truly drop dead gorgeous!). He gave a totally humble vibe and that he was totally polite. He spoke very softly and wasn’t trying to rush onto the next person to get the fansign over as fast as possible. I seriously cannot wait for that single to drop–which better be soon, my poster says January 2009
“girls” is better than “Eat You Up” but YG lacks the skill and money to give Se7en enough promotion. Which is a pity because his accent is a million times better than BoA and i think he is better suited to the American audience.
It is as you said, “due to the snowstorm.” More people would’ve been there if it hadn’t occured. The die hard fans only went.
Hair do is a DON’T but good luck with everything. XD
se7en is taller than 178cm(which is about 5ft 10) for sure.. I think he’s like 180 at least
Oh my… his suit jacket and dress pants are two different shades of black… :O Maybe he needs to get a new stylist first!
I live in tacoma
pfft I wouldnt have gone either
it’s really cold out there
and I dont know anyone who would voluntarily drive on a sheet of ice unless it was life or death okay
se7en not worth the risk
Ok so I went to his concert, I braved the snowstorm ( I didnt drive) but I was there. Totally sucked!!! He came out on stage at 12am and ended at 12:27am!!!! He only sang 3 songs!!!! Although I was in the VIP and his table was right across from ours, I did get to see him up close and personal!
why hasn’t he debuted in America yet he has been living there ever since 2007 and 2008 is almost up!It seems like he is never debuting but i think they need to do way more promotion.
questio? is that hard to go on some TV show ?? coz its the best way to promot
ok
the thing about seattle is that if we get more than a half inch of snow the schools are closed and people wont drive. Also, we kind of freak out and nothing gets done about all the snow in the roads. In a normal snowy city the roads get cleared and salted/sanded, but not here.
i actually had school cancelled because there was a chance of snow. did it snow? NO.
PS i didnt hear about this until right now, there was no promotion whatsoever.
awww what a shame yall missed out!!!
it was awesome. i loved every minute of it.
club performance was superb. autograph session was “WOW” AND not to mention it was in support of HopeLine.
i’m a diehard fan or a crazed out korean fan girl..or a crazy fan girl at all…but i did go to the club performance/autograph session in SF and Daly City just because i was in the area. Se7en just gets better and better. He’s so down to earth and loving to all his fans.
i know nothing about the guy except his music soothes my soul. to me he is up there right next to Baby Face. His English is excellent. It’s great that Boa has her own English debut but dont go around compairing Boa and Se7eN. Its not the same.
People should be respected for who they are and how they’re making their dreams come true. not for who you think they are or how you think they will fail.
All in all I’m glad he braved the weather like the rest of us and came out to Seattle. (really the weather wasnt that bad..until the next day hahaha) He could have cancelled but he didnt.
The turn out wasnt bad considering PR team was so last minute with information, flyers, and promting. They were really unorganized. Se7en has got to be Whisper Seattle’s biggest client and yet….It makes me wonder what could of happend if they werent the event holder?
and i would like to add those pictures do not justify the way he looked that night. when i saw him for sure thats not what he was wearing and his hair definitely did not look poofed like that.
I’m sorry I meant to say “I’m not a diehard fan….”
I was there and it was great! Se7en really put on a good show and looked super sexy. There were some really annoying girls screaming and trying to push there way into the VIP room so he couldn’t even rest after the show. He looked irritated and ready to go at that point. His skin is really soft
In the VIP room he shook hands and Thanked everyone for thier support. He’s a great guy. I wish him nothing but success!
@Chantelle: huh, it’s funny how people can have such different takes on a single event. Just got done reading a comment (in response to a very negative blog on Se7en’s performance and offstage demeanor at the KoreAM awards) where someone said they were totally turned off by Se7en’s behavior at the Seattle show. Supposedly he ignored everyone in the VIP area, which turned several fans off and gave them the impression that he was cocky. Then again, you did mention some commotion and irritation in the VIP room, so maybe the two accounts aren’t that different after all.
Stupid talentless. LOL. ewww~ gross
^
dont make me laugh. he is way higher in talent than boa will ever be. so stop trying to make me laugh
I am so jealous of all the people that got to go >.< And why the hell am I stuck with this ugly ass avatar? o.0
time to fire his stylist.
he looks really short.
