Actor Kim Suk-gyun has committed suicide in his home on January 17th. His body was discovered by his mother. The 30 year old was said to have been suffering from depression from lack of work and fame.

If someone could kill themselves, they’re obviously not capable of reasoning. More likely than not, he suffered from depression, an illness.
It’s the same as if you were insane (another mental illness). Would you go and tell the person to to “stop being crazy” and think how his family felt?

It’s hard to get successful in Korea. Looks may take you somewhat far in korea, but lately, it’s talent that gets you far. And suicide isn’t the new “it” thing. In fact, Japan has the highest suicide rate.
And Korea has hot-lines and therapists, just that most of them don’t go looking for help. There’s a lot of American stars that commits suicide, you just don’t know because they’re not a big of a star. The only time you know an actor/celb. dies is when they’re as big as Heath Ledger.
There’s been stars that lacked fame and killed themselves, and it’s not just Korean, but hey, since Koreans are the one to get posted up, why not make assumptions?
