Seeya’s Nam Gyu-ri is another pop act who has changed hats to dancer for the KBS special, “Shall we dance” on January 27th. Although the plastic princess attempted to do the tango, the performance, in our eyes, was blah. Basically the girl just got flung around by her dancing partner.
However, the judges on the show thought Nam Gyu-ri’s performance was not as good as the current MVP, Seungri.

she is so pretty. but the dancing is god awful. her frame is totally off. i ballroom dance, and i must say that compared with dancing with the stars, the dancers i’ve seen here suck… from a ballroom perspective. it’s like they only had 1 day to practice or something. i would expect better from professional pop stars who are used to dancing.

they said she practiced like hella, all day practically living at the studio to master the dance and she still sucks. well nice try.

The choreography for this Tango is really bad, too many lifts & spins.
Not sure how much practice they had before the performance but she’s really sucks. Her Tango signature head snaps are so messy.

No. Baek Jiyoung won that one by 1 point. SeungRi was good but kinda hilarious cuz he was so into it. JiYoung’s perf was good and her legs looked pretty sexy. I think she may also have had better chemistry with her partner.

wow, she’s quite good! I can see we tried and practiced hard! Seems like KBS copied China’s “Strictly Come Dancing”. The format is almost exactly the same. Hope KBS good permission from Hunan TV. Since Strictly Come Dancing was such a popular show in China, I’m sure Shall We Dance will be a hit in korea as well. The show is a great idea.

nothing about nam gyu ri interests me. being pretty like that is not enough to make it in the market. so she should stop fixing herself up to reach “perfection”, cuz the more she does, the less appealing she is.

After watching the vdo and after careful deliberation, I conclude that she is not that good yet. For me it’s 5/10. She is more concerned with her gown than with her steps. When she swings her head, her eyes are following the camera, that’s why her head goes to different angles. She is stiff as a dead. Tango is a dance of passion and I did not see it there. The tango steps and pauses are more profound compared to other Latin ballroom dances. She did not show such expression. She did however tried her best and that’s a score for her but she might as well try a different dance but not Tango. She still needs more practice. Sorry, no pun intended. It takes more than just 2 or 3 weeks to master Tango. At least I did it in 4 months to be able to get a certificate to teach it. She might be a good ballet dancer though.

Ive just realized something that this blog have a major issue with nam gyu ri u always say something negative about her and most of the things that is written in this page is not true first of all seungri didnt win the MVP baek ji young is the winner and its funny how u twisted everything the judges liked nam gyu ri performance and how come u did not mention that judges gave her award for her performance and she the only one who that won something despite the fact she didnt win MVP (THE MAIN AWARD) and one more thing u also did not mention that she only lost by one point to seungri and seugri said that he thought that he will lose because Nam gyu ri did great job and that she came in third place

so if the judges didnt like her as u said and they thought she didnt do a good job so how come she came in third place and won award i hope next time if u will write something u will tell the truth
