Song Hye-kyo drinks to white skin

songhyekyo_090329

Every time I turn on the television, Song Hye-kyo is trying to convince me to drink Haitai’s “Soonbak-cha” (White tea). The tea purportedly claims to whiten out your skin. Could that be true? If so, this is going to be a best seller even without her help.

Check out Song Hye-kyo in the “Soon-bak-cha” CF:

why does people love white skin so much? u’re either born with it or not, those products just harm you no matter how healthy they look.

She kinda reminds me of Ming-Na Wen in that picture.

I don’t think there’s such a drink that will change a person’s pigment of their skin UNLESS you bleach yourself– bwhaha Michael Jackson style. Song Hye-kyo is already light to begin with so this tea product she’s endorsing is an easy way to put money in her pocket. I think this company should sell this product in the Philippines– betcha it will make profit since whitening products is pretty popular there. Just to let cha know xD

Yeah whats with the white skin obsession. I’m a brownie, wouldn’t have it any other way.

GEEZE, so many obsessed with skin tone. Every single culture is always trying to modify their skin tone whether if it’s trying to make themselves lighter or darker. I like my tone, no whitening tea for me thanks.

What an obvious false advertisement! The only thing that drink might do for the skin is make it more healthy. However, that depends on the actual nutrient/antioxidant/all-that-good-stuff content of the drink.

Anyway, that hair-do is making her look more like an ajhooma (sp?). Though, she looks like a beautiful one… I hope I look as good as her at that age.

SHe doesn’t look like herself in the photo.

The white skin obsession is present in a lot of races. I watched it on Oprah and some Japanese women drink collagen to keep their skin fair and smooth. Then I saw on Tyra that African American women are targeted for skin whitening products as well. They have products easily available everywhere. It’s quite shocking how women strive to lighter skinned.

White skin, double eye-lids, high bridged nose with up-turned tip, v-shape jaw, hmm… now what does that sound like?

  14. 14 SE7EN89 March 29, 2009 at 4:04 pm

agreed with everyone else i would not change my skin for a milion dollars. i am happy with what i have.

  15. 15 kpopxd March 29, 2009 at 4:41 pm

what a load of crap. no it doesn’t turn your skin whiter. and did she chop her hair???? or is that a wig?

  17. 17 tarka87 March 29, 2009 at 7:17 pm

whiten out your skin? By drinking white tea? I’ve been drinking white tea for a very long time and havent noticed anything abnormal happening with my skin. It’s the same as people say that drinking pu-er tea will make you slim

  18. 18 jasminehks March 29, 2009 at 11:35 pm

I would buy anything that could make me tanner XD not whiter !!

  19. 19 sexybabymama March 30, 2009 at 1:21 am

if you want white skin just stay out of the sun for the rest of your life and maybe you’ll turn ghostly.

  20. 20 koolsuga March 30, 2009 at 1:50 am

she just looks tired and old in the ad
too old to self cam lol

  21. 21 skimfan March 30, 2009 at 2:31 am

Oh yeah, that’s real sexy, being whiter than a ghost! Please! Tell that to white people, who are baking in the sun every chance they get.

  22. 22 nikkita007 March 30, 2009 at 2:41 am

Umm I dont thing that white cha is going to make u whiter!

  23. 24 boohob March 30, 2009 at 3:47 am

so you can turn into michael jackson after cases of this stuff?

  24. 26 lindter March 30, 2009 at 4:06 am

Somehow she reminds me of Guem Jan-di (Goo Hye-Sun)!

  25. 27 larticle March 30, 2009 at 7:28 am

    I can’t imagine what would happen if I drank green tea in excess. O_O;;

  26. 28 umie11 March 30, 2009 at 7:51 am

Who cares about the drink! She’s a stunning girl and I totally envy her lips!

  27. 29 natavi March 30, 2009 at 8:31 am

@lindter – I was thinking the exact same thing lol I even had to re-read to make sure it didn’t say goo hye sun =P

I always think people look better with a hint of colour to them … I dunno … I guess I just like the ‘living’ look rather than the ‘dead’ …

The idea is ridiculous, who’s really looking at the tea? She is still one gorgeous woman!

  31. 33 shar07 April 1, 2009 at 3:20 pm

How smart, trying to make your skin lighter while the ozone layer is depleting, and one of the best defense is melanin and having dark skin.

  32. 34 bobby August 23, 2009 at 5:51 am

she look kind of ugly in those picture ewwww

  33. 35 joyhappyjoy September 5, 2009 at 10:29 am
