You heard right. The former leader of South Africa, Nelson Mandela is prohibiting a love scene from being filmed for Sung Yuri and Ji-sung for their new drama, “Swallow the sun” (‘태양을 삼켜라). The two Korean stars want to film the scene at the Palace Hotel at the Sun City Resort on March 29th but, unfortunately, Mandela is staying there. So for security reasons, the crew is prohibited to film.

The SBS drama, “Swallow the Sun” is expected to air sometime in July 2009.

firstly i doubt nelson mandela has the time to even know they are filming there.
secondly, it probably wasn’t him who issued this prohibition but instead his security personnel or even the hotel to there is ensure no breach of safety.

yes, i love korean dramas cos they put in so much effort and really pump in alot of money to get the best scenes and settings like flying all over the world just to get the right suitable scenes!
