The R&B duo, Fly to the Sky said goodbye on April 12, 2009 after ten years of activity together. Consisting of two members, the English speaker Brian along with the facially reconstructed Hwanhee performed their last stage on SBS‘ “Inkigayo”.
Performing the very first song they debuted, “Day by Day” (1999) along with their last song “Restrictions” (2009), the “great” ballad duo is no more. Although the duo admit that they have not dissolved, but rather they are taking a “break” to focus on their individual careers. However, we all know that the underlying message is “goodbye”.
What makes this breakup more interesting than the other groups is the fact that it occurred during the time many Korean singers and actors are trying to break out into the American market. Our guess is that Brian wanted to debut and his management either decided it was cheaper better for him to debut alone or Hwanhee and Brian were not seeing eye to eye. We can speculate all we want but all we can do is wait and see.

Hmm, kind of sad. They will be missed. Brian was my favorite. I don’t like that I read a comment somewhere that said he was “cocky”. Brian is a good man. I think he sometimes found it hard blending into the Korean celebrity scene because they are so ridiculously vain and selfish. He’s American and I think he maybe couldn’t get used to all the plastic surgery and just the obscene vanity, but that’s just my opinion. Plus Korean variety shows are so different than American t.v. Brian’s very sensitive, sweet and a good person. I can’t tell you how I know, but I do.
Anyway, enough about that. I see that HwanHee is still trying to do anything to be perfect, including wearing eye makeup now. Rain has been spotted performing on stage wearing eye makeup too. What do you guys think about that?

Of all the Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Taiwanese songs I’ve heard, ‘My Angel’, ‘Like a man’ and ‘Goodbye’ were some of the best songs I ever heard.
They made a great duo, might I add.
