Last week, YG’s female Big Bang otherwise known as 2NE1’s debut song, “Lollipop” was up for the number one spot on KBS‘ Music Bank but lost to Son Dambi’s new song “Saturday Night”.
Because of this, many fans believed that “Lollipop” stood a chance in actually winning the top spot this week but April 17, 2009’s airing confused the fans because the song itself was missing from the contestant list.
Of course, the fans couldn’t handle the sudden disappearance of their beloved Big Bang I mean 2NE1, and thus left flooded the message board. KBS finally responded by releasing a statement that the song itself was for commercial purposes and not an actual single or album release. The only reason it actually made the list was because it was number one on many online music charts.
Looks like we’ll have to keep an eye out for those fans, but I don’t think they’re as crazy as the ELFs.

they should just make another single and don’t feature Big Bang cos it’s like they’re using them (which they are) to gain popularity. hate it when they do that, just like they did with snsd. if they have the talent they can gain fans and popularity without the help.
Sure I understand that you believe they’re not using their own talent to get their own fans, but with the help of Big Bang, they get noticed faster, which means more fans will take the time to listen to their music, which means more support/popularity. I’d rather them gain fans faster instead of having years worth struggling. It’s obviously a great approach for debuting.
i would actually like to see 2NE1 debut officially && see if they stand a chance w/o bigbang ~

As much as I love Dambi(super cutie!), I’m shocked that her song actually won again! It’s not that great…..guess her fans have tripled since WGM days!
Yea good it was commercial usage, I want 2NE1 to really come out with a good single and not all pop pop, set themselves from the rest of the groups. Hopefully that can happen then oh well.
