As if Girls Generation was not enough, their first music video “Good Person” from MBC’s “Cinderella Man” continues to copy SM Entertainment’s female groups.
From washed out to fade out shots, from individual faces to group whole body frames, it seems that Mnet has literally taken SM’s CSJH the Grace’s “My Everything” music video.
Although it is understandable that they are trying to focus the camera on the faces of the new group and their talents, if Mnet really wants to sell this new group, and if CSJH’s history is any indication, they are going to need to display more than their talent, they are definitely going to need to take the image of sexy/cute even further.
If anything, Mnet seems to have made the wrong choice in trying to debut a female group during a time where many other female groups are in the midst of their activity.

At least T-ara CAN SING compared to SNSD, also if you have noticed Mnet is more of quality. Yes it means their groups may not be as popular but they have talent. Take Black Pearl for example they have amazing talent but they are not highly popular.
Yah, Taeyeon, Jessica, Seohyun, Tiffany, Sunny and Sooyoung can actually sing alright?
The others don’t have very strong singing but their dancing is hecka awesome. SNSD is great. T-ara…I can’t really be bothered checking up on them anymore.

Anyways, about the post, it does look alot like CSJH but I don’t blame them.
Like popseoul said, if there are so many girl groups, it’s gonna be hard to make a new and fresh image, you know what I mean?

Sigh, so many girl groups debuting (and more to come, as you say) and the MAD TALENTED ones like CSJH who have been in the business for so long are just fading away by the day. SM’s marketing for them really went awry =/
At least T-ara can sing! Their image desperately needs some work though. The same long tresses, white dresses… What’s the point of making them look the same if they’re EACH supposed to be talented (as opposed to being a ‘filler’ member)? A mature and sophisticated look would be much more suitable.
I wish CSJH would come back. Wherever did they go?

wow! their voices are really amazing- made me forget how recycled their look is. But in a way this look sort of works for them for this song- everything is really plain- even the whiteness of their dresses seems to be muted- and all you can see is them singing the song with wonderful vocals. It would have been slightly cooler, imo, if they never appear in mvs and would only show themselves in concerts- so they won’t have to be so image conscious.
For concerts, maybe they should adopt the mature, sophisticated let’s-be-singers-not-entertainers look that Seeya had when they first debuted.

I’m already liking these girls! Finally a girl group where ALL the members can sing! Way better than Wondergirls and SNSD!
Well, most Korean videos are rip offs of American videos, so, let the cannibalism begin. Neither Wonder Girls, SNSD or T-aras have any talent anyway –just pretty faces and hot bodies. So saying that one is copying the other is pointless.
The broader question is, where are the ugly people with REAL talent? haha. We will never see them.

CSJH need to come back from Japan really soon, why can’t they do atleast do one big Korean comeback album then just go back if they gotta be in Japan still…CSJH forever!!!

What hasn’t been re-hashed and re-used already? …. Doesn’t matter too much to me, really. They can use the cutesy image all they want, because nowadays I am finding vocal talent to be more important instead of just pretty faces.

that’s what got SNSD to where they are today
maybe they want the same for T-ara
and since they CAN sing (so people are telling me…i don’t know since i haven’t heard them yet
