Well, the seasoned diva is certainly acting like one.
On the SBS “A night of Entertainment” program on May 13th, Lee Hyori confessed, “I have a more mature type of beauty whereas Son Dambi is more fresh….but I exude more glamour…”
But she also added:
I don’t understand why men get all shy around me…..I need to change my personality into something softer so that guys will like me more…and also kill my temper so that I am more approachable.
The 30 year old pop diva can start by eating some humble pie.

Hmm.. I have mixed feelings about Hyori’s comments. Agreed, Hyori has been in the business for a very long time and she has had an immense success in what she’s done so far. The girl can definitely sing and she looks amazing 30 or not. But what she said about herself exuding more glamour than Dambi.. that’s just a little over the top. If the comments were from someone else, there would be no problem whatsoever. But to actually say that you are more glamorous than another artist, esp someone who is fairly new to the entertainment industry, is just unthoughtful and a little mean. And Dambi is glamorous (whether more glamorous or less glamorous than Hyori, everyone’s entitled to their own opinion.) The worse part is the end where Hyori goes on to say how she intimidates other male artists by her sexuality and perhaps she should tone it down and opt for a softer side. That’s just plain big headedness.
Popseoul Forgot to mention that hyori was playing around.. Dambi recently appeared as a guest on a show that hyori is on and so the interviewer asked hyori who she thought was more sexy. She didn’t just compare herself with a newbie out of the blue like you’re suggesting. And hyori replied in a joking manner hence why laughter from the audience followed her response. Go see the actual video. Popseoul is correct in what she said but wrong in how she said it. Hyori is known to be a jokester.

Frankly, Son Dambi’s face is just meh – hardly a striking beauty.
HL did not state that her “sexuality” intimidated male artists; she stated that her temper/demanding personality made it hard for guys to approach/get close to her and that it was something she needed to work on – that’s hardly being arrogant.
Also, Hyori isn’t “plastic” – well, at least not on her face (her chest, otoh…) and she isn’t “slutty” (she’s much more like Beyonce than Britney, wearing revealing outfits on stage b/c it’s show business – but in real life usually dresses in jeans and a T or some other outfit that is “normal”).
Popseoul is one of those sites that DOES NOT REPORT THE FACT BUT TWIST the artist words around or PURPOSEDLY leave out IMPORTANT facts to MAKE THEM LOOK BAD. Hyori was clearly joking when she said that statement. Viewers, please don’t rely on just Popseoul’s report alone as a basis for judging Hyori.
Well…you cant really tell who is more down-to-earth kinda person. both can be fake or both can be down-to-earth. what you see infront of the camera, is the same as off-camera….
