Farewell, Ji-ae and Ji-won.
New Mnet girl group T-ara has yet to officially debut, but the group is already getting a facelift. Having already released two MVs for their song “Good Person” for the “Cinderella Man” OST, viewers have gotten a glimpse at the members and their individual personas.
In the song version of the MV, once I figured out who was who, it seems Ji-won and Ji-ae possessed the most emotion behind their voices. While in the photo shoot version of the MV, Ji-ae hogs the camera the least and Ji-won possesses the most genuine personality, compared to the other girls who do the “Look, I am so pretty and adorable” thing way too much. Mnet cited that the reason behind Ji-ae and Ji-won leaving the group is that they felt they did not fit into the style of the group, meaning that they couldn’t whore themselves out as much as Ji-yeon, Eun-jung, and Hyo-min. So who will be their replacement?
It’s Jeon Bo-ram! She’s the daughter of veteran singer Jeon Young-rok and actress Lee Mi-young. She released her first single in November 2008, “From Memory,” which is surprisingly good. It possesses a ethereal, mellow atmosphere, and her wispy voice goes well with these types of melodies. She doesn’t fit the image of T-ara with their long tresses and ul-jjang sensibilities, but she has the chops for it. Jeon Bo-ram will be joined by another new member that has yet to be announced to form the full five member group.

Haven’t been following T-ara but am impressed with the new addition. She should stay solo though… there are way too many of these groups and she might get lost in the mix, no?
true, but i think groups r the trend right now.. i think it will be easier for them to gain popularity in a group, solo will probably be more difficult

I couldn’t stand to watch the rest of the photoshoot mv. They were totally doing the whole make cute faces infront of the camera thing.
Other than that, their vocals are pretty nice, though nothing totally outstanding.
