It looks like the pint-sized singer Lee Jung-hyun aka Ava is no longer on the singles market.
On the June 11th episode of KBS2 ‘Happy Together’, Lee Jung-hyun revealed that she is currently in a relationship but is not thinking of marriage, as of yet. When asked what her lover does for a living, she stated, “He runs a finance firm overseas”. Seriously, what is up with all these female celebrities hooking-up with up men overseas (think Han Chae-young, Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Hee-sun)? Well, it could come off as being good news for all you male POPSEOUL! readers that are currently studying abroad, away from Korea. It pulls up you’re chance to hook-up with a hot female celebrity by 1%, you don’t necessarily have to be good looking but you have to be financially well-off and capable of supporting these high maintenance women!
During the talk segment, Lee Jung-hyun also shared her story of running into a number of bandits in the woods, on her way to a small city for a concert in China. How did she manage to get away alive and return to Korea? Well nothing much actually, all she had to do was sing her hit-song ‘Wa’ for them live. The girl was definitely lucky to be famous enough that these bandits knew who she was and actually liked her enough to let her go. It’s great that she was let by safe and sound but don’t these bandits seem a bit phony to you? Normally, people would think bandits would ask for a lump sum of money and THEN let the hostages go, especially when you have a celebrity for hostage, but not in this case.

it was often a song i picked on DDR. and well i remember a long time ago she was in a drama called Beautiful Days… and she got famous in that drama by becoming a singer singing this song I think. they incorporated that into the drama. i still like the song!

There’s nothing wrong with her dating somone outside of Korea. Its probably much easier for her.
Because she is a celebrity in Korea she will have to worry about others being in her personal business if she dates in Korea.
At least dating overseas gives her somewhat of a normal life.

Yeah it seens corny now..but the video was super fantastic back in the day (kind of)…I woundn’t be surprised if she got a little influenced by Madonna’s “Nothing really matters” video [not exact concept but shares few likeness I think in that artsy Asian way]. Heck you kids are really young..some of you mentioned that you were in 1st-2nd grade when this song came out..and I was already in late highschool! Hehehahah. I still love this song and the album…more because of nostalgic reasons. Heck, if they pumped this tune out now in a gay or straight club, I’d dance all ethnically crazy to it too. Fun times.
