While the Wondergirls are currently in China laying down the foundation for their later activities, their presence stateside is slowly surfacing into “mainstream” media. Tiger Beat is a teenybopper gossip magazine focused on bringing teenage girls all the latest dish about their favorite “dreamy” celebrities like the Disney Channel set and of course, the Jonas Brothers. On their “Daily Dish” feature, “Blog Girl” featured the Wondergirls, but really most of it is just gushing over their precious Jo Bros. In addition to that, the preview of “Nobody” is up on Amazon.com, and the whole track will be available for purchase on June 27th. Seeing as how Korea is notorious for illegal downloading and KPOP listeners are too, I don’t know how many of you will actually pay for it. Might I say though, from the preview, it’s not even worth the effort of digging through your wallet. Although it’s only a small snippet, “Nobody” does not make a good English song. The beat of the song does not match the usual iambic pentameter that make most English language songs sound melodic, especially during So-hee’s part. If you like “Nobody,” just stick to listening to the original in Korean and spare yourself.

how can people criticize their english pronunciation/ fobbish accent considering english not being their 1st language and considering they just learned the language not too long ago?
it makes sense when people give bad opinions about the girls’ singing, dancing, or overall performance, but it doesn’t when you expect them to have perfect english.
Then why are they trying to make it in America when they CAN’T EVEN SPEAK THE LANGUAGE WELL. because according to you, THEY JUST LEARNED IT. When you move to a country it takes 3 years max to be very good at it. God. If they can’t take the criticism then they need to go back to Korea.
There are tons of americans, asians, hispanics, etc. that go to other countries to play sports, model, act, and sing and they don’t speak the language either. Wise up. And most of them do just fine. I can list about 10-15 of them off the top of my head.
However, the English version of Nobody is a complete fiasco.
We can criticize their English when they’re trying to break into the US music industry. As a potential American consumer, how can that NOT be a factor of criticism. Stop deluding yourself. =.=”

America is THE center of the world music market so it makes sense for the Wonder Girls to try. They’re still successful in the East Asian countries so if this doesn’t work there is still a huge market to fall back on.
Opening for the Jonas Bros is actually a pretty smart move. Britney Spears was propelled to fame by being an opening act for ‘N Sync and the Backstreet Boys if you early 20 year olds can remember. Sure she spoke fluent English but all the WG need to do is make a good impression. And hopefully like Britney, their cuteness will propel them further into the US market.

Hey guys have you heard an english version of nobody in youtube but wondergirls does not the one who sang it…..the engl version of this song which is sung by someone else and the person really sang it very well…its really really good its like the same quality of music by wg in korean language but its an english version…..try look at in the youtube…I forgot where it will find but try search in youtube I just found it in youtube…I think you’ll be amazed because the singers voice is really clear and obviously can sing in an english way of nobody than wg because….”not being harsh” but their engl is not that good much if I compare 2ne1 english …well 2ne1 can speak engl better than wg but hey I love wg also…just don’t think i’m comparing these 2 groups because they both are good in terms of talents and skills…love them both
Hey you know guys…..the biggest lame showbiz entertainment market in the world we all know that ” and I am not being lame I’m just telling the truth in my own opinion and you all know that” is that US market is the biggest lame….if you compare to asian market or european market its easy to enter their industry but when it comes to US they all have descrimination when it comes also to being asian…I don’t know why but we all know in the past white people discriminate black people….well I think now it changed and in Asians it turns out they descriminate more I’m not sure why….mmm is it because we asian look different in terms of the compexion of our skin on americans…..american market accept others like spanish,europeans…or such as looks like them….And in terms of english for the american market its important for them to hear a clear….straight and a good accent to hear from their ears. I’m not sure why these american market stocked to their heads that english is imprtant and not just on the talent well…mmm? I think because they have already have a high expectations for something much on an artist even though an asian is a great artist amwerican market doesn’t like to focus on them because for them” why the hell they focus on aisan talents if they can see lots of artist whose got talents also and looks the same on them….Thats why also enlgish pronucniation is important because you can’t please these american market if you can’t even speak clearly on their own language……its reality that their market are lame but we have to accept the fact that they are that and thus the important is we all know that WG had a talent but if they can’t succeed in US market which we all know that there is no native asian who succed the top rank on the billboard chart of the US market…why if WG don’t succeed it atleast their popular on other countries that also known as a big and successful country like japan, china, Europe or…etc…. atleast they didn’t spend their time on the things they can’t even reach or even those people who really don’t care and just snobbed these talented girls on their good skills and talents…mmmm…..:D
