Rain’s disastrous, last minute cancellation of his 2007 concert in Hawaii led to a legal battle between promoter, Click Entertainment, Rain and then management, JYP. Earlier this year, Hawaiian courts ruled that Rain and JYP need to cough up USD 8 million. However, the judge thought it was unfair and the three sides underwent negotiations. On June 10th, a settlement was reached within 2 hours. However, the settlement amount was not divulged to the public. All three parties signed a confidentiality agreement.
Rain and JYP Entertainment also submitted an appeal to the Hawaiian court on June 2.
Now with lighter wallets, no wonder Rain and JYP are cranking out more new pop acts (Dahee and 3 girl group).

uhhh did u not read the article??? he has already BEEN paying back, but after the negotiations the 8 million retribution was lowered because the judge thought it was UNFAIR… and so? rain got the money keep bringing on the lawsuits. and its not only rain paying, JYP is paying too. to be clear rain is an artist(was only an artist at this time), he didnt need to worry about the managing or anything. if his managers tell him he cant perform what can he do?
ow how come the amount isnt released to the public? did rain requested that? he was probably embarrassed for people to know that he STILL has to pay that kind of money

Why pay at all if he’s innocent?? Fight to the end!! Oops… he DID NOT SHOW UP IN HAWAII in 2007. Only showed up to hug the stupid fans in Mar 2009 – and these fans did not deserve his hugs!!!! WTF did they do for him?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The BEST thing out of all this is that now it’s PROVEN that Rain is guilty. You don’t settle out of court if you’re innocent. Bring on Los Angeles!

and mind you nowadays appeal can backfire to worst penalties, he may have to cough out more money if the court is out to catch him & leave him high & dry.
u think cancellation of concerts from state to state can get away scot free when ppl paid heavy price for his concert + hotel + travelling expenses??
he has to prove guilty & withdraw his appeal n pay up to the other parties!!!

he did file appeal. so there must have been something to make him withdraw that appeal and agree to pay a lesser amount. and it had to have been something big or he would have fought it (if he thought he was innocent of all charges).
so yeah. agreeing to pay a settlement is an admission of guilt. why pay if you’re innocent?
