Spot the differences?
Due to the overwhelming and exaggerated response to Girls Generation being Nazi and Kamikaze sympathizers, SM Entertainment has postponed the release of their new album to June 29th, in order to alter the cover with more friendly Korean military imagery. Don’t worry SNSD fans because the track “Etude,” which some suspect will be a cover of fellow SM artist BoA’s “Etude” , will be released as scheduled on June 25th, with the rest of the tracklist to follow on June 29th.
So what did they exactly photoshop? SM changed the questionable aircraft from the Type Zero-sen looking fighter jet to the Korean supersonic T-50 jet, and the wings of the eagle pins have been turned up to deflect from the similarity with Nazi eagle pins. Honestly, the T-50 jet graphic looks like a rush job because the contrast makes it stick out. Then apparently, it seems like the continued photoshopping some miscellaneous things, such as changing the direction of the airplane under the Jessica’s name at the top of the album (so it looks like they aren’t being bombed on?), removing the emblem pin on Tae-yeon’s collar, and deleting what looked like an overextended collar behind Sunny. Provided below is the original album cover for your comparison.
In addition to that, Girls Generation released photos from their recent interview with Yon-hap News, sporting a more casual, sailor look. They look like they are ready for a spontaneous yacht party, except Soo-young, who actually looks like she would have fun just hanging out at the docks.
Will they be donning their sultry marine girl look or relaxed sailor outfits for their comeback stage on Music Bank on June 26th?

Yoona, Taeyoon and Jessica´s hat emblems have also been changed. Well, it’s that the emblem in the bottom left part of the cover had been replaced, so the others have been changed accordingly.

Don’t you know that the leaders of idol groups frm SM entertainment hardly stands (or perhaps never) in the middle when taking photo shoots? DBSK’s yuhno always stands on the right side and SUJU’s Lee Teuk is always at the side too..

i don’t like the outfit they put sooyoung in . it makes her legs look so much shorter than they actually are . usually in the pictures, you can tell sooyoung is the tallest and with the longest legs . but the loose shorts make her look normal and boring

I know rhee? I am like and what is this fascination with Nazis. They didn’t like anyone but themselves and they aligned themselves with Japan not South Korea. As one can see they definitely did not step in to stop Japan from occupying South Korea.

Some people may be indifferent, but those eagle emblem looks heckalike the Nazi styled Reichsadler… it’s only a little better than wearing a swastika. As for those planes, they should remove them all competely, they look like someone went outta control with the clip art.

btw the eagle thing on Yoona’s hat really does look like the Nazi party It’s even got a little cirle at the bottom for where the swastika’s meant to be.
