For the past few weeks, there have been rumors implicating Lee Chun-hee as one of the big celebrities who used drugs with his good friend, Joo Ji-hoon. First, SBS News presented a “censored” image of a celebrity alongside a story of the celebrity’s involvement in a drug scandal. Of course, netizens did their research and easily discovered that the “censored” image was of Lee Chun-hee. Then, there was an interview broadcasted by MBC After News, in which a “Mr. A” (rumored to be Lee Chun-hee) never denied charges of taking an illegal substance. In the interview, “Mr. A” claimed, “I was intoxicated with alcohol at that time so even I can’t remember. I do remember being with those people but I’m not sure what happened because I simply can’t remember.”
Hmmm…sounds like the whole sad too drunk to remember excuse.
Well, shocked fans and netizens have been eagerly awaiting new developments concerning Lee Chun-hee involvement in the celebrity drug scandal that has already forced Joo Ji-hoon to put his career on hold. Due to his innocent and bashful image on popular variety show, “Family Outing,” many people have refused to believe that Lee Chun-hee would be the type to take illegal drugs.
However, netizens have been recently discussing his absence at the premiere for his new film, “A Billion”, which also stars Shin Min-ah and Lee Min-ki. For someone who supposedly left “Family Outing” to focus on his acting career, he sure hasn’t been busy supporting his work. Some believe his absence proves that he is in trouble with the law, and thus, cannot pursue any promotional activities. As a very popular rising star, he should be busting his booty to garner support and to help make the film a success. If he wanted to prove his innocence, he should have just proudly shown his face to silence the rumors.
Don’t get me wrong. I adore Lee Chun Hee’s personality and truly hope these rumors are not true. But he has definitely dug himself a bigger hole by being silent and absent from the public. Wouldn’t an innocent person want to publicly denounce these rumors? This poor guy is looking guiltier the more I think about it. So POPSEOULers, what do you think? Are you talking about our cute Chunderella? He does not really look like the type who would be a regular user. He might be blindly drunk at the time that he didn’t remember anything. If he mixed alcohol with drugs, something bad could have happened to him. Bad combination. I don’t know but he really looks so innocent to me. He doesn’t look like someone who would dabble in drugs. He’s not that stupid to jeopardize his career which is just picking up at this time. This is just my opinion. I hope though that he will keep good company instead of going with the notoriously famous people who love to experiment with drugs.

um popseoul i just read from an article somewhere that he agreed to take a drug test, and that drug test turned out NEGATIVE.
you should get your facts straight before you mislead people
just b/c he had a negative drug test recently it doesn’t mean he didn’t try it in the past. i mean joo ji hoon wasn’t a regular user and he still got convicted.
if he did do drugs, it probably was just a one time thing in the past pr just an isolated incident. i’m sure he isn’t on junkie level. just experimenting. but how are they gonna prove he took drugs in the past. and are the consequences still harsh if it was just a one time deal

Again, when the rumor came out with Chun hee I read people’s comments and decided to just observe people’s reaction and not say anything.People were saying that it couldn’t be true because Chun hee isn’t this kind of person. Once again, I feel that people didn’t learn a thing from what happen to Ji hoon. IMAGE WILL ALWAYS DECEIVE! People we see those celebrities on tv, in movies, in magazines, but WE DON’T KNOW THEM! WE DON’T TRULY KNOW THEM! Those celebrities CREATES AN IMAGE! And people always gets deceives by it and fooled by it.We don’t know the true Chun Hee! Chill people. So he did some drugs. Big Deal. Honestly the thing I hate about Koreans is they act so damn innocent. A lot of Koreans know nothing about sex because of the lack of sex education and sex is ‘taboo’. Koreans also happen to be the world’s biggest consumers of porn and have a thriving sex industry. Koreans like to ignore their problems and they have a HUGE problem with generalizing as well as diverting attention to real issues. I am Korean, but we as a people have a far way to go.

Chun hee’s not ajust another joo ji-hoon. chun hee probably was a suspect because he was close with all the others who acutally did drugs. if he was guilty, he would be indicted by now. but i think he should eventually address the public if he’s innocent. or at least show his face so it doesn’t look like he’s hiding from doing something wrong. it’s not like the koreans will just forget the scandal he was involved in if he and his reps never speak of it

i think chunhee did it as well. being innocent on FO meant nothing, it probably is in his clumsy but there was peer pressure and intoxication at hand as well. sadly if he does get convicted, i see his career in a not-so-great state. but nonetheless i’ll still support him.
