TVXQ first Korean group to rock the Tokyo Dome

dbsk_20090701

Of course, you only bring the best and the biggest to the Tokyo Dome.

As TVXQ’s last stop for their fourth live tour on July 4th and 5th, the “Rising Gods of the East” are going to perform at the famed Tokyo Dome as the first Korean group to do so. Apparently, Rain was the first Korean artist to perform at the Tokyo Dome in 2007, but he failed to draw a crowd big enough to fill the whole stadium. I don’t foresee that sort of problem for TVXQ though. They are going to receive a packed house if anything.

The Tokyo Dome boasts a 55,000 seating capacity, and is about four times bigger than the largest stadium in Korea. Top Japanese artists, such as SMAP, KAT-TUN, KinKi Kids, and X-JAPAN, as well as many world stars, including Madonna, Bon Jovi, and The Rolling Stones, have all graced the Tokyo Dome in the past.

The boys are flourishing in Japan. All we can do from Korea is watch from afar and go “Atta boys!” as we wait patiently for their return to the motherland. When is that going to happen? *shrugs*

Hei…Rain didn’t fill the whole stadium because the STAGE okay!!!!don’t try to ruin the REALITY!!!!!!!!!

Yes you are right, what you read here is stating that the return of concert tickets from Tokyo is estimated to be 3.7 billion Won!! shocked.gif

As the first Korean singer who holds his concert at Tokyo Dome, it doesn’t stop this RAIN as there were already 18,000 tickets sold out in pre-ordering. By estimation, the return from concert tickets alone is approximately 3.7 billion Won.

    “Explode at Tokyo Dome!!”

Rain shows his incredible box office influence even he is considered as a ‘newbie’ for Tokyo Dome.

After a simple news release on March 18, the pre-ordering started in the next day. According to the ticketing response, nearly 50% tickets were sold out. Fans from Japan, China, Thailand, Hong Kong etc are coming to this concert as well.

From this trend, this can be a sold-out concert when the ticket selling is officially open to public on May 13. All the tickets cost JPY12,000 and the audience can choose the areas they want. Whereas the seats will be determined by balloting.

There are 40,000 tickets in total. Compared to Arashi’s recent concert that accomodated 55,000 audience, Rain’s concert has to cut down the number of audience due to the unique stage design. SM representative said, “The stage at Tokyo Dome can exactly fit into Rain’s world tour requirement. We have to empty some spaces for those special effects.”

More and more details are released since the concert date is nearer.

The organisers are confident with Rain, thus they choose Tokyo Dome for Rain’s Japan concert, although it’s not that easy for local artists to perform there. The daily rental of Tokyo Dome costs 540 million Won, whereas the total profit from ticket selling is about 3.7 billion Won.

It is said that many Japanese super stars will attend this concert, too. “The namelist is under progress so we’re not able to tell now. We’re aware that these artists mention about their interest in Rain’s concert during TV programmes.”

Why would an SM representative say that
“The stage at Tokyo Dome can exactly fit into Rain’s world tour requirement. We have to empty some spaces for those special effects.”

Rain isn’t even under SM. He’s under JYP or his own company J Tunes.
I think you better read check your news first.

hmmm…i’d say…i cant really compare RAIN to DBSK…because Rain…is a one man show..and DBSK have 5 of them…and teenagers like to have a pick on who’s their fave member in the group. Not to mention that DBSK can speak japanese almost always perfectly. and they get to stay there for pretty much a long time..so yes! they SHOULD fill the whole stadium right? i mean they have to. what will their motherland say if they cant?

  13. 15 xmerokox July 4, 2009 at 8:29 am

OMG, I am so sad that I almost got tickets!!!!!!!!! I was at the ticket machine trying to buy tickets like crazy, but the system was overloaded with fangirls across Japan and I got the message “system is busy, try again”. Then after less than 20 minutes I got “all seats sold out”. I really wanted to cry T___T

Urgh, I’m in Tokyo but I can’t see these boys!

Well I hope that the concert goes well, it’s the last venue of their tour so it seems that it will be amazing!

  14. 17 ran July 4, 2009 at 2:16 pm

haha… good for them. but don’t say they beat other JAPANESE ARTISTS in JAPAN. my goodness.. what a statement. KATTUN performed there like 9 days straight and still didn’t accommodate everyone who preordered. so beat it crapheads.

    • 18 Tsurara July 5, 2009 at 7:33 am

who said they beated KAT-TUN I think they meant japanese artists who haven’t performed in the dome. Tohoshinki won’t beat JE and I don’t think they want to :D we all know that

  22. 29 huh???? July 7, 2009 at 7:47 am

the differences between Rain and DBSK is:
Rain come to Japan and perform on Dome as a hallyu star.
DBSK come to Japan and perform on Dome as a jpop artist.

Avex will never let THSK perform in Dome unless they reach some sales number and their official fanclub member is more than enough to fill the dome.

Congrat for THSK. It tooks 4 years, but its an amazing 4 year

  23. 30 Anna July 12, 2009 at 1:21 am
