Pop star, Rain, came in 1st place as the “Best acting male singer“, in an on-line poll. Community portal site, ‘dcinside’, conducted a poll from June 30th to July 7th titled, ‘Who is the best male singer that shows outstanding performance as an actor?’.
From a total of 20,409 votes placed, Rain managed to place 1st, with a total of 7,941 votes.
Kim Hyun-joong of SS501, came in at 2nd place with a total of 6,757 votes.
Lee Seung-ki came in at 3rd place, with a total of 4,472 votes.
Kim Jung-hoon of UN, Lim Chang-jung, and on Kye-sang of G.O.D also made it on the list following after the three. Personally, Lee Seung-ki is better at acting than Kim Hyun-joong and Lim Chang-jung should have placed in the top 3 but its pretty obvious he didn’t because he’s not an idol.
So do you agree with the netizens? Who do you think should have won “Best singer turned actor?” Rock the vote!

NO DOUBT Bi. I didn’t think he was that great at acting until Sangdoo Lets go to School, and just look how far he’s come in his singing career! Pretty damn good. Lee Seungi would be second for me though..kim hyunjoong sorta sucks at acting.

The writer of Boys over Flowers said that kim hyun joong has the sensibility to read the script and the producer really appreciated his incredible efforts. Hyun Joong read his script over one hundred times until it torn out. Kim Hyun Joon made his charateter Yun Ji hoo of his own gorgeously. With his mysterious and lovely eyes, he expreseed Ji hoo’s emotion amazingly. Everyone laughts and cries according to his performance during the drama. That’s why so many Ji hoo Fans as well as Hyun Joong coming to the surface-Baeksang(number 1 authority award of TV and film)went to Hyun Joon last Feburary.
He is the best of the best!

Rain can act. No doubt he is the number 1 singer/actor. All three drama series were really good and his acting was superb. He can act like a gigolo, a father, an overbearing husband, he does action films, a goon, and a lunatic. What more can you suggest. His versatility is up to par.

Hyun joong is great entertainer.. He could plays lots of instruments.. Dance well.. And has amazing voice..
But I think he doesn’t act as well as rain or seung gi. I do love him as musician but not as much as I love him as an actor..
Rain was great in A Love to Kill. His character, BokGu, was complicated – both good and bad – and had internal conflict. Rain played this complex character perfectly and let loose with an emotionally raw performance that won him the KBS Best Actor Award in 2005.

But in my opinion in 1rst place, the best acting male singer is Yoon Kye Sang! His acting is very natural and touching. He has also tried challenging roles on his acting career unlike the other singer turned actor.
Rain would be 2nd place. He’s very good actor and he proved he can act on ‘Sangdoo…’ and ‘I’m a cyborgbut that’s okay’
Hyun Joong, I loveeeee him, but acting is not his thing.

Hello everyone,
Even though all are good in their own style of acting,
I still say Rain(Jung Ji-hoon) takes my vote as the best acting male singer.
Jung Ji-hoon always gives 110% in all that he does,
with hard work, a strong determination and will.
He accomplishes what he sets his mind to do.
In Speed Racer as a supporting role he did pretty well, considering the language barrier. (acting in English)
Now, same Holywood Producer saw how good he is,
gave him a leading role in the movie Ninja Assassin.
(coming soon NOVEMBER 2009)
Again the language barrier is difficult when learning your script, (which he had an English tutor) and with hard training in doing his own stunts in Martial Arts.
*He must of succeeded, because reading from blogs of people who went to secret screenings (Ninja Assassin)
are saying he did an amazing job.

I’m a HUGE fan of rain but I wouldn’t say he’s the best singer. He can rock the hell out of what he got though. Acting…he’s someone to watch. In a love to kill he was incredible.
