Ok, what the hell happened to Rain?
Mr. Chocolate abs has melted into a chunky monkey. Our favorite ESL student showed off his new flabbier physique at the Boryeong Mud Festival on July 12th. It must have been all the double chicken breast pizzas.
If you don’t believe us, check out the pictures below. And being chubbier is no excuse to be crotch-grabbing and lip licking fiend.

Same here. I didn’t think he was a “chunky munky”, he just beefed up a bit/got a bit more meat on his bones than before. Actually, he looks a bit more Western in size as well.

Agree. I think he’s got more muscle. To me he’s shaped like a fit football player and not a slim basketball player.

I agree with mvy382. He looks fine to me. If anything he needed to gain some mass, as could other artists. Healthy is better than bone thin and sickly looking. Rain is an awesome musician and entertainer. People that judge on looks alone better take another look at themselves before criticizing others.

He may have gained compared from the time he finished filming the “Ninja Assasin”, but not that chunky.
maybe, it’s just the pants. The pictures taken after this performance are all ok. His muscles and built still look great.

i guess being off that super strict diet he just puts on weight a bit more easily… let him eat and enjoy his life without strict dieting and exercising!!!
The one thing he should lose is that hat…and not wear that same style of pants. =3
He looks fine. GMTAZ is right. At least he looks healthy and isn’t anorexically skinny like a lot of celebrities now days. Besides the fact that those pants aren’t all that flattering, he still looks great! =)
its probably because he had to lose so much weight and maintain his perfect body for his upcoming movie. in several korean tv shows, he mentioned that it was hell for him to maintain such a weight due to the fact that he couldnt eat anything he wanted. and now that hes resting and just waiting for the movie to come out, hes eating. which is good, the guy deserves it
The problem with Rain is that he looks different every day. He changes overnight!
If you look at him the day before Honkong fashion show he looked big but during not (I woluld say that even skinny).
The same situation is also this time.
At the Dream concert he looked buffed but next day – at the ceremony of the Goodwill Ambassador – he looked normal.

The problem is, is that he probably isn’t work out as hard as he has been in the past for the movie… and when you don’t work out as much you start to loose muscle weight… which turns into fat.
I think he looks fine though. Nothing to get worried about… he probably is just resting right now… and once he gets back into the swing of things his muscles will get tight again.

the more I look at the pictures, i can definitely see its the pants and just the first picture. The pants make him look more buff which then translates to superficial people as fat. Also, that first picture’s angle was horrible, which made him look very different. Rain looks damn fine to me… =]

I guess no tv network was filming the festival for home audiences? I thought South Koreans get uptight about sexual innuendo in music or stage behaviour and in the photo, we see Rain doing a crotch and throwing horns combination move.

Totally agree that it’s nono scene for young kids, but come to think of it, Rain doesn’t need what you term as “lewd acts” to attract viewers or attention. He may not have realized it yet, but he has the talent to back him up and an endearing quality that draws women to him.
