For his upcoming album, U.S. hiphop artist, Akon has called upon BoA to work on a track for his upcoming Japanese album, “Freedom +2.” Good call by Akon since BoA is established in the music market in Japan.
Akon’s new album, “Freedom +2” will feature 13 tracks from his 2008 album, “Freedom” as well as a new remix of the track, “Beautiful” featuring BoA.
The unlikely pair met on April 4th at the Spring Groove 2009 concert. “Freedom+2” will be released on August 5th, 2009.

I’m not a fan of Akon… but since a lot of people will listen to him, I think this is a good move for BoA. THIS is what Se7en should have done instead of having Lil Kim on his song, he should have been on someone else’s new single!
smart move akon. Now, if only this new collab was also done in boa’s future U.S albums. I think that would help her career alot in the U.S.
It is not often that a new artist breaking into the US market is asked by an established US artist to do a collaboration for an overseas release in the new artist’s first year!
Akon must have had someone look into BoA’s Asian success and recognized a way to gain some fans without having to do all of the work himself. BoA’s name will help with the music sales. But Akon will be responsible for keeping the fans interested if he decides to go for the Asian market.
Also, for BoA, she benefits by meeting more music people. Networking will help her with future music collaborations.

I considered Akon as a magic and a gift from God, he made mistakes, he lost, but anything happened in his life would became the source of his creation and showed to the world. That why I regard Akon an idol of mine, we are all getting through difficulties and Akon could sign a example for us and motivate us to carry on.
