To create netizen buzz for their comeback, Brown Eyed Girls do a girl-on-girl kiss in their music video.
The forbidden kiss is between Son Ka-in and Narsha for the title track, “Abracadabra” from their third album. The MV will be released at the end of July but the 2CD full album will hit store shelves on July 20th.
Is a girly kiss enough for people to buy the new album? At the very least, netizens will watch the video out of curiousity….

heh, two grisl kissing is wat most or some guys like. DOn’t put them all in a box. Most mature guys would be weary about thie girls doing that becuase well, if they’re getting into it (hot and heavy) they sure as hell aren’t doing it for your attethion. Next thing you know, your little girlfriend who agreed to make out with anotehr girl is “exprimenting” behind your back or leaves you for “someone else” (who is lacking male genitalia).
ALso, they are exploting a sexual orientaiton/culture that has it’s own fair share of hardships (sometimes disapproval, sometimes verbal abuse, sometimes phsycial). If you aren’t going to recogize that you might as well dress up in Black/Red/Yellow/White face and make fun of a whole group of people with complete disregard.
Oh, and msot girls know that some guys have a thing for girl-on-girl action. And in case you haven’t een hanging out with enough girls to know (I assume you haven’t) quite a few girls seems to like seeing guy-on-guy action. To each his, or her, own I suppose.

Agree. It’s silly. Why not dress up as a clown and dance around. I feel like their taking soemthing real and portraying it as less than it is (considering many often get verbally or physcially attacked or feel as if they can’t come out). It’s pretty lame when you decide to take somethign like a race, relgion, or serious lifestyle and exploit it to get attention.
Where I am teeny boppers put on this (“lesbian”) act around guys for attention. Just as lame when they do it, and even more lame when grown adults do it too.

I agree with one of the above coments – kiss girls if you’re a lesbian, otherwise it’s just a gimmick. And it’s also frustrating for real lesbians, considering how much crap they have to put up with in the ‘real’ world.

I have seen the music video, and yes – when I saw that they didn’t actually kiss, I felt that people were making way too big of a deal out of it. I can’t speak for everyone, but I’m guessing the reason no one was making such a big deal about the heterosexual stuff was either a) it wasn’t the main focus of this article, or b) because it’s ‘normal’
You raised a very good point – yes, homosexuals might be excited to see their group supported in music videos, or even portrayed at all. But not all of them. I do know lesbians who get annoyed (not necessarily offended) at girls who just do this kind of thing to turn guys on – and I think that’s what most of the fuss was about.
The reason for this is just as you said – they’ve been fighting for so long to be treated like equals, and here come a bunch of girls kissing each other to excite some guys, and cheapening their entire social group. On top of that, it is giving people the wrong impression about what it actually means to be a lesbian – just showing it as ‘having fun’ or something girls do to get guys’ attention and not all the pain and isolation many people face as a result of their sexuality.
Again, this is just how *some* people feel about this sort of thing. You did raise some good points in what you said, and since I’m not entirely heterosexual myself, I thank you for the fact that you don’t think it should be a big deal.
No problem, I mean I understand some people might be offended, they are showing the almost kiss for the fans-another thing is how many fans of BEG are guys? I mean yeah it could be a cheap way to try to get more guy fans, but yeah-not a huge deal either way.
