R.Tripper cracks

roundtripper_20090708.jpg

Well, at least W.dop does anyway.

Although new male duo R.Tripper has already made their official debut, that performance was completely lip synced due to the fact that Mnet M!Countdown has a horrible sound system that cannot accommodate outdoor performances. So I must bring you their first real LIVE performance for you to judge adequately.

The performance is still on M!Countdown, but this time it’s raw (like the piece of meat Big Queens really dig). Based on this performance, it seems like Joy has the more polished voice, which makes sense because he has contributed to a few drama OSTs in the past, and W.dop is the better rapper, which corresponds with his image.

W.dop’s voice sounds very throaty and tired, as he tries really hard to maintain the power in his voice, but he inevitably cracks big time in the middle of the performance.

Not that super impressed, but the vocals are better than most lives out there, albeit R.Tripper doesn’t really compensate by making the performance exciting to watch. Check it out~

Cut them a little slack. It was their first ‘LIVE’ perfromance with no lipsynching. I think they will come around. I really enjoy the song a lot.

They did all right. There will be many other opportunities for them to improve their stage performances as they go. Shouldn’t critic too harshly for first-time-live-stage-performing, yeah? XD

people’s voice crack, its not something they can help so easily. atleast they’re not incredibly flat. that’s more annoying then someone’s voice cracking. i’m looking forward to what they’re going to show :)

He cracked at the “far” part of the chorus twice, but it’s not that bad. They did good for their first live, better then many.

Vocals are very delicate. Maybe the guy was tired, maybe he was worn out from singing previously, maybe he was just nervous.

That said, overall I’m not impressed. The singing was mediocre, the dancing was uninspired, and their hair is bizarre. It’s their first performance, so hopefully they’ll improve over time and get a different stylist.

This guy, on the other hand, has some serious vocal talent.

I know W. Dop practiced really hard along with Joy. He even said so to us fans of R. Tripper that he was practicing very hard and that they were very nervous. I know he tried hard so I’m proud of him and Joy. I know they’ll keep improving ^_^

I really think we should be happy that it’s their first live performance. Like most others, they’ll have time to improve everything. But I really think they were just really nervous, or not really ready to sing live yet. But I give them props for singing live the first time. I’ll definitely look forward to them!

Joy’s hair looks a bit like Yoochun’s in the Mirotic days xDD

The prettier one has a better voice, but the other one is a better singer. There’s a difference between having a good voice and having good singing technique, although that voice-crack-husk thing is a bit questionable.

They did pretty good for a real liver performance. I’m not surprise their voices were starting to crack. Singing, dancing and maintaining strong oxygen flow while on stage is hard to control.Better then some American artist.

Despite the cracks, I’m actually looking forward to more of this duo. I still suffering from FTTS withdrawals… sadness.

    when does he crack?

  21. 24 Dea July 17, 2009 at 10:48 pm

I love W.dop’s voice it’s strong and deep but these things happen to musicians. I they doesn’t stress too much now and will perform soon again!

  22. 26 afas July 18, 2009 at 1:20 am

Cracking and all, W.Dop still sounds awesome to me. :o

The bling shades thing is getting pretty old though.

  23. 27 JENNY July 18, 2009 at 4:07 am
