Big Bang’s Seungri and SNSD’s Yuri are future classmates

Seungri_091029

Seungri of idol group, Big Bang will be going off to college in the new Spring 2010.

The maknae will enter the Performing Arts and Film Department at Chung-ang University along with Yuri from Girls Generation (SNSD).

Supposedly, the future classmates passed the college entrance exams at 23:1 odds.

Seungri had quit highschool after debuting in Big Bang in 2006. However, the maknae managed to get his highschool diploma this past May.

It’s great that they’re going to university and all, but when are celebrities going to stop taking the easy way out and pursuing a degree in business or life science, anything that’s not the token “Performing Arts and Film/Theater” route?

    • 12 kio October 30, 2009 at 2:46 am

Wow you do know that your statement makes you look ignorant right? If you knew better you’d definitely retract what you said about performing arts being the “easy way out”. There’s no such thing as an easy way out in college hun…just thought you should know.

wtf!! alexishn, performing arts and film is NOT an easy way out
either u dnt go 2 collage or ur just pathetic

      or both
      haha

I’m saying this because it’s known in KOREA as a softer option. It’s well known that celebrities there who choose this degree option can miss an incredible amount of classes and still graduate. I’m sorry for not being clearer about this, I didn’t mean to offend any performing arts students. And yes, I am currently a college student myself.

But come to think of it, I think it’s good that they take that course, I mean..they’re performers and in the entertainment biz anyway, it would help them. Unless they wanted a big career shift afterwards. I do understand that it is considered as a “soft course” [it's the same in my country], but then again better take something that interests them..or something that has to do with what they’re currently doing.

    Nah They can do this

These people are smart enough for the exam

and I think They will perform well

I hope SM will give Yuri a comfortable contract though

alexishn, going to a performing arts school isn’t taking the easy way out. They can be just as difficult as business or law. You practically have to gauge someone’s eyes out to get in and to stay in.

I commend them both for pursuing an education in something they love. So if this doesn’t work out, they can always go into the performing arts education route or work for someone else.
