Wondergirls want to stop singing “Nobody”:
The Wondergirls joked that they can’t wait to stop singing since they have sung it more than a thousand times in various languages: Korean, English, Chinese and Spanish and in various styles: Tango and Techno. Is there a trot version too?

With a 51% chance of a “yes,” and short on time, JYP and the girls chartered a plane at the cost of 40 million won (30 thousand USD) to meet with the head of a nationwide clothing store chain in Columbus, Ohio in the middle of their tour with the Jonas Brothers. He told the big wig that the Wondergirls will be the next big stars and had them dance in front of him. The CEO gave the ok and had the Wondergirls CDs in his stores. As a result, the Wondergirls sold 34 thousand copies and able to hit the Billboard Top 100.

Totally with you on that. The english version of Nobody is still heavily rotated on air. People who have no interest in k-pop are hooked on that song.
One of the most unhip 40 year old ladies I know loves that song. And I mean really unhip. It goes to show how far the song has reached
i’m glad for their success, but, I mean… dunno, I must be mising something. The area I live in curently is full of Asians *mainly* Korean. Shops, stores, car-dealership, textbooks, signs, and churches for or in Korean. I haven’t heard *anyone* talk about them , maybe it’s an age thing. I dunno. None of my roommates know about them either and when other Korean friends of mine come to visit me the WGs (in pop convos) rarely if ever come up.
…my non-Koreanand non-aianphilfriends of of Rain,thouh. But that’s it. Ill look out more, but i definately dont see it.
Just goes to show you how UNCOOL they are. If the most unhip lady in the world takes a liking to a song as tacky as she is, then obviously NOBODY is a massive fail. WG aren’t getting noticed, and they won’t last in the US. They’ll be back by next year. People are right, JYP’s just trying to save face. He doesn’t wanna look like he failed AGAIN with another group. BORRRIINNNGGG…

WG are okay singers.
They’re horrid dancers.
They’re decent looking, except Sohee.
And they’re definitely not the hardest workers.
They have a 5-member group. Each person does more or less 1/5th of the song.
They don’t have to compose, produce, choreograph, or write lyrics.
Their dance routines are ridiculously easy. You’d get more dancing done in a 5-year-old’s ballet class.
Compared to most groups (who don’t have as much to do compared to soloists or rock bands), they have very little to work at.
JYP is in no position to say that they’re the hardest working among all singers anyways.
