Well, that was fast!
It seems 4minute members Hyun-ah and Ji-yoon will be embarking on solo projects.
Not to worry, 4minute isn’t going anywhere but the group’s main rapper, Hyun-ah, and the (formerly) shaded wonder, Ji-yoon, have decided to try the solo thing for a bit. Given the success of “For Muzik“, the group’s debut album, it only makes sense that the two would milk their current popularity and steal the spotlight for themselves.
As of yet the girls’ reps haven’t revealed much about the upcoming projects. It has, however, been reported that the girls’ solo projects will highlight their unique charms, something that they weren’t able to do when promoting as part of the group.
The girls’ company, Cube Entertainment, released a statement saying:
“We have not yet decided which of the two will release their solo album first. The two members are currently practicing for their performances to the pop dance songs prepared for them. We will decide the details after work for ["For Muzik"] has ended.”
Hyun-ah and Ji-yoon are definitely the stand out members of the group. I wonder how what they’ll sound like on their own…especially Ji-yoon. Any guesses?

forming a group then go solo…it’s like using the group as stepping stone..pity…
You do realise that is the intention from the beginning right?
Idol groups are usually formed because any one member wouldn’t cut it debuting on their own.
Put him/her in a group, get experience and popularity and then go solo.
In the commercial world, everything is a stepping stone to something else.
yah right…that’s why the industry’s really disappointing..

I jsut feel sorry for the other 3 girls in the group. they don’t get anything or barely…
Besides it just feels like 4 minute is trying to do like 2NE1. Just like in the beginning when ppl used to accuse 4minute to copy 2NE1’s style, it seems like since 2NE1’s solos are doing good, then why not 4minute’s? (maybe that’s why only hyunah and ji yoon get solos, Cube ent must know that no solo or duo or trio made by the other 3 would be popular)

omg!! Really!!! will good luck for them.I love Ji yoon. I feel sad for them. They are being criticize by what they are doing.. Manager has to approve including the whole company so it is not all their fault. I do feel that the other three members are not getting attention but whose is the one that suppose to give them attention.. Us the fans!! Well can’t wait for their solo I want to listen how they’ll sound solo by themselves.

yeh the leader doesnt have any attention and never have any solo (like dance or something) i mean i know jihyun(leader) have many talent but she cant show us that she good at…because nobody let her chance ( that my opinion :/) :/

as much as I congratulate hyun-ah and ji-yoon for their solos….it’s sort of sad that the leader of the group (I can’t even remember her name- which is also sad) gets pushed aside yet again.
i like ji yoon but hyun ah??? hyun ah is always taking all the spotlights (like afterschools uee) but the other girls are more talented than her. this is so annoying for the leader
