The 30th Blue Dragon Film Awards red carpet proved to be a little troublesome for the attending actresses. They had a choice of showing a little leg or tripping on their dress while climbing the red carpet stairs.
The Blue Dragon Film Awards were held at Seoul’s KBS Hall on December 2, 2009.

Lee Shi-young (We Got Married, Boys Over Flowers) seems a little cold in this summery, Grecian white dress.
Fashionista Kim Min-hee (Love Marriage) is looking elegant in an princess, strapless black dress.
“Thirst” star Kim Ok-bin came in hot pink. Her fuzzy pink muffler looks so warm! Kim Ok-bin was accompanied by “Thirst” co-star Song Kang-ho.
Choi Kang-hee‘s (My Love) black dress leaves a little to be desired, but the simple bodice suits the actress well.
Kim Hye-su (Style) shows off her S-line and a bit of skin in a sexy, form-fitting black dress.
Kang Ye-won (Miracle on 1st Street) also went with a summery white dress, looking classicly pretty.
Even in a lingerie-styled dress, Kim Ha-neul (Mr. and Mrs. Kim, On Air) still manages to look classy and refined with matching accessories.
Ha Ji-won (Haeundae) shows off what her mother gave her in this low-cut/high-cut combination.
Sun Woo-sun (Queen of Housewives) mismatches blue heels with a pink chiffon dress. The dress’s cut is nice though.
“Speedy Scandal” star Park Bo-young made a bit of a scandal in this yellow flower dress (literally, flowers). She was accompanied by her “Speedy Scandal” co-stars Cha Tae-hyun and Wang Seok-hyeon.
Lee Chae-young (Wife Returns) follows the pink trend in a bejewelled, form-flattering dress.
Yoo Sun (The Sons of Sol Pharmacy House) shows off a flattering neck-line, gaining a lot of praise from netizens.
Son Ye-jin (My Wife Got Married) wore a finely detailed, and visually interesting chiffon black and navy dress.

Choi Kang Hee didn’t look at all comfortable in that gown.The top should have been more fitted. Kim Hye-soo has worn similar peek-a-boo gowns during previous film award presentations. She seems to favor this kind of fashion. The skirt of Ha Ji-won’s gown is too complicated, but the top is nice. Kim Ok-bin’s lovely in her fuchsia gown.

I think all the ladies look lovely. My favorties are Ha Ji Won, Lee Chae young, and Son ye Jin ( although I don’t like the bottom half of her dress, she pulls it off nicely).

I don’t believe that the male actors all wore tuxedos or black suits. Where is the montage of photos showing 8-10 actors arriving at the awards (not just as escorts for someone)?
For future events, try to balance the photos between the genders so that we see some snaps of the women and the men all dressed up. Thanks!!
Most of their gowns were not splendid enough for that important event. Many were not snugly fit. Some fabrics even looked inferior.
South Korea is a developed country. I expect thme dress like the actresses of Hong Kong and Taiwan in the similiar event. Many famous brands like Dior, Chanel, Escada, etc often sponsor the actors and actresses with gorgeous clothes and jewellery no matter it is a film award event or it is a small scale individual TV station award.
Among of them, Park Bo-young’s little yellow dress was the best. The dress fitted her nicely. The fabrics are common but the design and the color are fashionable.
