Girls Generation (SNSD) member, Hyo-yeon revealed for the first time that she wanted to quit the girl group and go overseas to study. These thoughts crossed her mind during the debut of Girls Generation, but we are sure she probably would have regretted her decision now.
The SNSD member spilled her guts on the taping of the SBS variety program, “Strong Heart”, which is set to air on December 22nd. Also, on the show, Hyo-yeon also revealed a bit of her past-that she was a backup dancer for BoA before debut. With her love of dance, Hyoyeon was torn on deciding to continue dancing or staying put with SNSD.

She’s underappreciated and judged which is probably why she thought about leaving in the beginning. I don’t know how she is able to still manage to go into every performance with so much energy and effort even though the fans don’t acknowledge it. She has a heart of gold but b/c she may not look as good as other members she doesn’t get any credit.
This isn’t surprising considering all the negative feedback, comments posted on the net everytime she is mentioned. Popseoul That means YOU too!
All the other snsd girls get radio dj jobs, tv hosting gigs, solo songs, tv appearances, modeling jobs, CFs, dramas and musicals but she gets to do nothing but sit around watching them all go off to better things while SME allows her 7-8yrs of hard training go to waste!
I think the only reason she’s still there is because she loves the other girls so much and knows that even if the fans don’t love her the girls do, and it would be hard on them if she left. They say she’s the mother of the group. She’s the first one up, cooks breakfast, wakes them up, cleans, does laundry etc.
Anyway I wouldn’t be into SNSD if it wasn’t for her dance vids I saw on YT. It sucks that she’s puts her all in her popping and dancing performances but then when Yuri does a sexy dance that almost anyone can do the fans rave about that like it was something revolutionary.

hyoyeon is BY FAR my favorite in snsd, and she’s the one i noticed first. her dancing videos seriously like, amazed me. and i honestly think she’s gorgeous! she’s definitely the best dancer in the group.. hands down.
i’m sure she had understandable reasons for wanting to quit, but that was a long time ago before their debut. i don’t think any of them would leave anytime right now considering their huge success.

Hyoyeon is a good dancer, but she’s not backup dancer material.
Perhaps in Asia, but the dancers in America are much much better. The same goes for vocalists and performers.
I doubt she would come to the states/Europe/outside of Asia anyways, so she definitely could have achieved her dream.
SNSD is fine in vocals w/o her, but their dancing takes a big drop. Their next one is Yuri and she’s loads worse than Hyoyeon. SNSD doesn’t have any strong dancers, Hyoyeon was the only above average one.
i feel bad for her that ppl notice yoona and yuri first because their “pretty” but not talented. hyoyeon can really dance! but she is not as popular as ppl like yoona because she is not as pretty. so sad how ppl are.

She’s the best dancer in the group. way way better than the others and it’s disappointing just to see her moves unrecognized by many. I can understand where shes coming from. If you notice with everything she seems the most ignored although she does get cool dance solos, but she really isnt a bad singer, ive watched a video of her singing and it was good, even though yuri isnt a strong singer she still gets more solos then hyoyeon it seems. But im glad she still stays, every dog has its day, she will too.

She’s a better dancer then the rest. Without her, the group’s moves would look awkward. I’m not a fan, but even I can see that. You know who can’t sing? Sunny. She has the weakest voice. But she makes up for it with her personality.

I never interested in SNSD until recently i carefully watch their MV and Hyoyeon is the very first person in the group I notice. She has very precise characteristic and rare kind to find. When look more into her, she is very pretty, great dance and high energy.
I believe that everyday, there are more and more people who starts to like her.

I hate it that people like Yoona and Yuri are pretty but can’t sing or dance OUTSTANDINGLY well, yet they’re enjoying explosive popularity and jobs that earn them more money and fame.
