Kyu Hyun is released from the hospital!

Kyu Hyun is getting better and he was released from the hospital last Friday (July 6th). According to SM, he can stand up on his own, but he’s still not able to walk. Kyu Hyun still has to undergo further treatment, but at least he gets to rest at the comfort of his own house. Due to his current disabilities, he won’t be joining his SuJu pals any time soon, but it’s good to know that he is recuperating. Get well soon Kyu Hyun!

Unexpected causes of star injuries

Suh In Young was transported to the hospital a couple of days ago when she busted a vein in her thigh after she tried too hard to stretch her legs 180 degrees during Vitamin, a tv variety show. In fact, she couldn’t even get up after her “show and tell” that her manager had to come to the rescue.

Similarly, it was reported that world-cup singer Mina hurt her ass while practicing her hip-shaking moves for her upcoming album. Many believe that her pose that accentuated her S-line during a photo-shoot might have been the underlying cause. I guess Jun Hae Bin isn’t the only one trying too hard to show us the S-line. She was told that she needs 6 weeks of physical therapy to heal properly.

Perhaps these are occupational hazards, but girls, you shouldn’t be hurting yourself like that. Ms. “I- want-to-be-a-stripper” - if you can’t stretch your legs 180 degrees, don’t try to force it cauz the extra lights and camera aren’t gonna help you stretch them out! Mina - why don’t you tone down on the sexy moves and work on your S-line instead? Anyways, get-well soon girls!

Lee Teuk had 170 stitches!

SM has been very quite about Lee Teuk’s injury because Kyu Hyun was in serious condition, but Lee Teuk’s injury was anything but minor. He received 170 stitches - 150 on his back and 20 on his face. A plastic surgeon stitched up on his face, so they are expecting minimum scarring, but they are still planning for scar removal surgery after it heals. Good thinking SM because the face is everything for an idol star.

Get well soon Lee Teuk. Super Junior would not be the same without it’s leader!

Jang Hyuk was in a car accident

Yup, you read that right. There was another car accident in the Korean celeb world this week. The charismatic doctor from the drama Thank you, Jang Hyuk, his manager and two stylists were hit by a truck on the highway in Jun Nam providence. Luckily, Jang Hyuk wasn’t severely injured but one of his manager is known to be in a critical condition and two stylists were hospitalized. Although Jang Hyuk experienced pains around his ribs, he went back to the set to continue shooting the drama.

I’m not sure if that’s dedication or stupidity. Yes, I understand that turn around time of Korean dramas is super fast and that he didn’t want to cause a delay in production, but shouldn’t he take care of his body before going back to the set? Call me crazy, but I say he go back to the hospital to receive the proper treatment he needs. Btw, if you aren’t already hooked on Thank You, I strongly recommend this drama. Get well soon Jang Hyuk!
