Fly to the Sky, not China

Fly to the Sky, returns from China picking up a few allegations along the way. Brian and Hwan Hee, who were recently in Beijing to take part in an awards ceremony, were accused of inflicting injury to a fan as the two made their way through the airport.

To add insult to injury, there are rumors circulating that the “divos” demanded their own room backstage at the awards ceremony, away from the other celebrities present at the event. It’s apparent that these boys really have flown to the sky with their balloon-size egos, either that or the Chinese entertainment industry is on a mission to take down our Hallyu stars and replace them with their own clones. Either way, we are enjoying the ride.

Lee Hyori has got to be laughing at the bib.

The SBS Music Awards rounded up the best in music on one stage. Big name music acts showed their stuff by singing covers of hit songs from the past and present -Big Bang, Yangpa, 1tym, Jinusean, Epik High, Wondergirls, JYP, Girl’s Generation, Baek Ji-young, Chae Yeon, Suh In-young, SG Wannabe, FT Island, Stephanie, Cherry Filter, Clazziquai etc.

Some of the big names (under the same management) came together to share the same stage - JYP Entertainment (JYP and Wondergirls), YG Family (Jinusean, Se7en, 1tym Big Bang) and SM Entertainment.

MC’s of the night were the sexy Lee Hyori and the bib wearing Lee Hui-jae.

Taste of old school K-pop

It’s raining cats and dogs here, which reminded me of the monsoon season in Korea. I tell ya, it was hell - the humidity frizzed up my hair (and I have straight Asian hair!), it was impossible to catch a cab and the whole fuss of folding and unfolding umbrellas everyday was just annoying. But even with the monsoon season, summer in Korea was a blast! School was out and I was able to enjoy all the fun things Korea had to offer during the summer, especially the summer snacks! How much I loved red bean serbet (팥빙수). Ah..those were the days and I present to you a fun mix of Korea’s favorite summer songs. These are summer classics you hear everywhere you go in Korea during the summer.
