On a recent episode of SBS “Intimate Note“, Chae Yeon revealed that once, while they were drinking together, Shinhwa’s Lee Min-woo called her out to the staircase and expressed his feelings for her. Although, he didn’t bluntly tell her, “I like you”, he apparently vaguely expressed his feelings. After her confession, Chae-yeon stated,

“Now I really want to ask if those feelings were true.“

Lee Min-woo, bewildered by Chae Yeon’s confession replied,

“Chae-yeon is not only sexy but she is also very good to people and has a way of making them feel very comfortable. So at the time I believe I told her, ‘I think I have good feelings towards to you.’

Following the excuse for his confession, Lee Min-woo personally showed guests how Chae Yeon seduces guys when she’s drinking, bringing laughter throughout the set. Don’t you think the two will be so cute together? Now that it’s over between him and Amy, it would be cute to see the two hook up.

The full episode of Lee Min-woo’s episode of “Intimate Note” will broadcast September 4th.

Chae Yeon rocks out for a photo spread in the September issue of men’s magazine, Stuff Korea. Usually seen with a cute and sexy image, Chae Yeon challenges a new look for Stuff. Although I couldn’t imagine Chae Yeon being a legitimate rocker, she looks quite fabulous either way.

The photographer praised the diva for her versatility, “Although we were a bit worried about changing Chae Yeon to a rock girl image, but she was able to mix the feelings of rock and sexiness together which resulted in a good photoshoot.“

Looks like her mom can keep up!

Chae Yeon and her mother appeared on a recent episode of the SBS variety program “Star Junior Show“. The episode, which aired on August 22nd, featured stars like Lee Min-woo, Lee Ji-hye and 2AM’s Jo-kwon and their mothers.

During the broadcast, Chae Yeon revealed that one of her biggest regrets as a celebrity was not being able to visit the public baths with her mother because of her sexy star image. According to Chae Yeon, whenever her mother returns from visiting the public baths alone she feels “unfilial” and “guilty”.

At another point during the episode, Chae Yeon’s mother read a very touching letter to her daughter, causing the singer to break down in tears on camera. To end the program, the mother-daughter duo performed to Chae Yeon’s song “Shake“. Sounds like some good mother-daughter bonding time to me!

Who knew?

The 2009 East Asian Games are just around the corner, corner being quite a few blocks away in December, but you know what that means, soundtrack time for stars. The theme song for the 2009 games is titled “You Are The Legend“, and features five artists from five countries. Representative of South Korea is none other than Chae Yeon. She wouldn’t have been my first choice, but she does an impressive job alongside renowned vocal biggies as China’s Dadawa, Hong Kong’s Eason Chan, Taiwan’s Richie Ren, and Japan’s Kousuke Atari.

I am personally an ABSOLUTE sucker for these multi-artist songs. When pan-Asian game season comes around, I always look forward to an uplifting collaboration song.

And a few more things on MBC Music Core.

Tiara, although disappointing at first, is slowly living up to their potential. Korea has become quite enamored by these six girls garnering an astounding number of hits on the portal sites. For this week’s Music Core, Tiara performed my personal favorite S.E.S song, “Dreams Come True“, as well as their debut hit, “Lies“. Although not quite as dynamic as the original S.E.S, they put on an impressive homage. Also, the transition between the songs is quite cute. One beef though~I want to punch Ji-yeon in the throat. SING LOUDER! Bo-ram’s tone is similar to yours, but at least I can HEAR her.

I was kind of ahead of myself when Girls Generation did their goodbye stage on SBS Inkigayo last week. It would only seem suitable for SNSD to end their song promotions on Music Core, where Yu-ri and Tiffany MC. The audience was treated to a show of “Etude” from an earlier performance at Caribbean Bay water park, as well as the harem flooding from the audience onto the stage. Fans went crazy as they were only a few feet away from their thighs idols. So now, it’s final. No more “Genie” on stage~

Although Baek Ji-young’s latest single isn’t her best, I have to admit this performance of “My Ear’s Candy” was amazing. It starts off in an orgy of dancers as they have a little dance party on stage to the “Intro“. Although Baek Ji-young may not be in her prime anymore, she still shines on stage, especially alongside touchy Taec-yeon. The energy is high and I just love it when the girls scream in unison whenever Taec-yeon touches Back Ji-young. Suck it, fangirls.

KARA does me a favor. Instead of performing “Wanna” *blech*, the girls wise up and perform a full version of “Mister“. I really like this look and flavor best for KARA. Who doesn’t love suspenders and your pant leg rolled up like a seasoned bicyclist?

Chae Yeon has moved on from being a club skank to better things with “Fool“. I don’t find Chae Yeon’s singing voice all that amazing, but I do enjoy this song and she sings it fairly well. Chae Yeon works better when her sex appeal is understated and leaning more towards the cute and charming side.

After the stir their MV caused for being quite scandalous with its camera angles, new girl duo Honeysh made their hot debut on Music Core with “Shall I Get Married“. This isn’t the best sounding song and neither are their voices something to rave about, but their live singing makes an impression on me.

Hwayobi makes her comeback with “Kiss Kiss Kiss” alongside beau Sleepy from Untouchables. Not afraid to let the world know of their romance, they even take it up a notch by wearing…COUPLE SHIRTS. She brings a saccharine summer feel with this song, but her voice is reason enough for me to overlook it. What is unacceptable though is that…hair.

Personally, I really dig the dollhouse stage design for this week’s Music Core. What I also like is how they completely shroud the cutesy pastel colors for Brown Eyed Girls‘ performance of “Abracadabra“. The huge stretch of whiteness is the perfect backdrop for the black leather outfits of the girls.

You know that Chae Yeon is out of the loop when she is sporting on-stage fashions from 2007. While Lee Hyori has moved on to spandex, and Suh In-young cleaned up (but still looks like a man), the 28 year old pop star holds on to the black knee high leather boots, and striped tank top.

Chae Yeon performed at the 2008 Dongdaemoon Fashion Festival on September 5^th 2008. The fashion festival runs until September 11th.

But this time, the older man is Chae Yeon’s dad.

Father and daughter are in Beijing as part of the cheer team for the Korean athletes participating in the 2008 Summer Olympics.

On August 11th, 2008, Korea has come away with a gold in Men’s Archery and Silver medal for Wang Ki-chun in Judo (73kg). Go Korea Go!

In a photoshoot for the future issue for the monthly magazine, Dazed and Confused (Korea), Chae Yeon admitted that sexiness arises from confidence. Ok, cool. But at the same time, the Hyori rival added that there is no sexiness behind a desk. What she means that there is nothing sexy about work. (Did I just defend Chae Yeon?) I agree. There is something inherently unappealing about being part of the rat race. The reason is simple- even though the rat race may someday end, you are still a rat.

Chae Yeon is the CEO of her DDM clothing brand, Bequem (pronounced “Bee-kwem”).

Chae Yeon shows us how to dress appropriately for day and night in the latest photo shoot for Star Photo. For day, the outfit of choice is a sheer blouse with black undergarments for the office. For the ajumma look, it’s a sexy barely there outfit with the singer bending forward in a suggestive pose. And for night, the singer turns into a sexy vixen of lace and push-ups bras (yes, she may have needed multiple bras)

Push up those puppies, girl.

While Chae Yeon is stripping down and flashing her assets, Suh In-young is covering up and looking like a man. Coincidence?

The SBS Music Awards rounded up the best in music on one stage. Big name music acts showed their stuff by singing covers of hit songs from the past and present -Big Bang, Yangpa, 1tym, Jinusean, Epik High, Wondergirls, JYP, Girl’s Generation, Baek Ji-young, Chae Yeon, Suh In-young, SG Wannabe, FT Island, Stephanie, Cherry Filter, Clazziquai etc.

Some of the big names (under the same management) came together to share the same stage – JYP Entertainment (JYP and Wondergirls), YG Family (Jinusean, Se7en, 1tym Big Bang) and SM Entertainment.

MC’s of the night were the sexy Lee Hyori and the bib wearing Lee Hui-jae.

Girls Generation. Can’t tell any of them apart. They could easily be substituted for Wondergirls and no one would know the difference because both groups can’t sing.

MC’s of the night- Lee hyori & Lee huijae. Miss Hyori finally dresses to use her best assets – her envious chest. The pale blue dress hugs all the right curves. Woman (finally) looks gorgeous because we don’t see the backside. Her partner, on the other hand, looks like he is ready to chow down on some lobster with his bib.

The trio of Yangpa, Baek Jiyoung and Lee Suyoung start off their performance with a slow song wearing full length gowns but then rip off the lower part of expose their minis…. check out their performance here.

Lee Suyoung is another mini wearing singer. This time in bare legs.

Baek Ji Young looks much older with the short permed hair. There is a reason why the stylish avoid this hairstyle. It’s the ajumma hair.

Yangpa. Her curves look great until you follow the line down and see the awkward clunky shoes. The sparkle dress and black nylons and shoes don’t match. We know that she is trying to pull off the sexy-cute image but it’s not working.

Se7en. Rain may get all the hype, but the better ESL student is quietly gearing up in the U.S. for his “comeback”.

See Ya. Another pop act that is trying to bridge the sexy & cute – but does Nam Gyu-ri and her girls succeed? Watch their performance with SG Wannabe and FT Island here.

Min. JYP’s next up and coming star keeps it simple and cute baring only her tight midriff in silver baggy pants and a cropped simple turtleneck. However, the voice and the music are out of sync. Stephanie. Notice in the first picture the bruises on her legs from her dance routine. She should really have worn the ugly stockings that Chae Yeon was wearing.

Suh In-young favors the spread legs move. Countless pictures of the woman have been posted on POPSEOUL!.

Wearing athletic hunting gear, Chae Yeon should be hunted not the hunter with her chipmunk cheeks. She poses for the cameras at the Adidas Spring/Summer 2008 fashion show at aA Design Museum in Hong-dae.

And notice Chae Yeon sporting new extensions. I guess the chubby chipmunk wants to differentiate herself from hair copycat Suh In-young .

Chae Yeon joins Choi Kanghee, Byun Jungsu, Choi Yeojin, Ha Sukjin, Jo Hanseon, Ku Joonyup, Hong Rokgi, Suh Jihye, Lee Mingi, Yoon Junghee at the show.

Chae Yeon mixes and matches. She is ready to hunt on top but wants to stay black and sleek on the bottom.

Choi Kang-hee wears the look of the season – black tights and super mini sweater dress with open-toe heels (or long boots).

Choi Yeojin. Again, another style conscious celeb wearing the look of the season – black short sleeve sweater dress with thick belt and long leather gloves.

Fashionista Byun Jungsu is able to get away with pairing the white classic Adidas jacket with black balloon pants with party heels. The sunglasses and necklace pulls the look together. Unusual but it works.

B list, Ha Sukjin wears layers of white and black.

Jo Hansun’s white Adidas sneakers glow against his robber outfit of gray pants and black leather jacker and beanie.

Ku Joon-yup is bundled up in same shade of burgandy as JYP & Hong Rok-gi is I-don’t-know.

Sporting the same bowl shag as Rain, Lee Mingi layers leather and coat together. Guess it was super cold.

Suh Jihye must be cold in this super short skirt and thin stockings.

Yoon Junghee looks a bit warmer with hat, thick white jacket and fur boots. But the hat doesn’t work.
