After all that drama with drugs, Joo Ji-hoon will be enlisting in the army by the end of this year.

Joo Ji-hoon, who recently plead guilty for doing drugs, has just finished his 120 hours of community service, earlier today. Since the start of August, Joo Ji-hoon has been serving 8 hours of community service per day, helping out the elderly and handicapped at a welfare center in Songpagu. Apparently, the actor has cut his hair short and has been dedicated to completing his service, hoping to make up for his mistake. A representative of his agency stated,

He has been doing community service until earlier this morning and has completed his hours earlier today. It was hard for him to adapt at first, but after he did, he has been working hard and is now sad to be parting with everyone. Joo Ji-hoon seems to have learned a lot through his recent service for the community.

Joo Ji-hoon’s agency has also stated that the actor will be enlisting in the army before the year ends. They have already applied for Joo Ji-hoon to enlist and are currently waiting for a reply with the actor’s enlisting date.

Normally, by law it’s not possible for one to enlist in the army if they are sentenced to one year or more in prison. However, since Joo Ji-hoon was sentenced to less than a year in prison and one year of probation, he is allowed to enlist in the army.

Truthfully, Joo Ji-hoon is better off enlisting in the army since he was sentenced to one year of probation anyways. It’s far better than sitting around doing nothing for a year, no? Although two years isn’t enough time for his fans or the public to completely forget about this incident, it’s more than enough time for things to tone down a bit. Hopefully, after he finishes his term in the army, he’ll be able to make a noticeable comeback and win back the hearts of his fans.

The 2007 MBC Drama Awards was a big enough honor to bring out the Bae Yong-joon out from Neverland to accept the award for the Grand Prize (대상) the highest honor and also the Netizen’s Choice Award.

Yun Eun-hye and Gong Yoo were recognized for their outstanding acting skills for the popular hit drama, Coffee Prince.

The MBC Awards recognizes excellence in acting by being generous with its recognition. Two persons from each category for the best and outstanding actor/actress awards are chosen (sometimes translated as ‘top excellence’ and ‘excellence’ awards). Based on such a system, it seems that almost everyone on an MBC drama picked up an award. A win-win situation for the actors, but at the same time, the seriousness of the awards is watered down. Do they really need 2 separate categories for “top excellence” and “excellence” in acting?

All awards aside, check out the star style.

Bae Yong-joon brings matching crutches to the show. Even though the man is ajummafied, his penguin suit is no frills and classic.

Jang Hyuk. The actor recently announced that he and his pilates instructor gf are expecting a baby in February next year. The scandalous actor’s white tie is nearly invisible against his shirt of the same color.

Joo Ji-hoon. We all know that the man needs to munch on a few big macs, but trying to bulk up by wearing a rabbit fur vest/jacket/bolero over his jacket is not trend-setting, it’s a fashion faux-pas. Poor rabbit.

Lee Joongi is wearing a cream jacket that looks 3 sizes too big. In fact, it looks like they photoshopped his head to this outfit. And what’s with all the tanner? Or should I say, “color lotion”

Lee Jia. The actress admitted to designing this dress all by herself. She should have just kept it in the closet. Notice that the string from the word “brightest” on the side of her dress is long enough to be twirled around the finger ? this one is not bright, it’s dumb. Also, the hair in the face, clunky louboutins and the white chiffon prom reject dress screams fashion disaster.

Lee On (Coffee Prince ) keeps it simple and in reverse constrast with the black shirt and white tie.

Gong Yoo. The cute Coffee Prince star will be heading out for his military service in January. This will probably be one of his last public appearances, so enjoy. Check him out here. (in Korean)

Han Jimin in a pale shade of dust. The dress must be borrowed because it’s 2 sizes too big. The makeup, on the other hand, specifically the shiny and rosy cheeks and shimmering eyes look great. Check out her style here. (in Korean)

Koh Eun-mi. Another ill-fitting and ddm looking white dress.

Kong Hyojin. Known for her less than stylish picks, the pinkish chiffon number seems to work. And she’s the got the thin stems to pull off the ankle straps. Check out her dress at all angles here.(in Korean)

Lee Phillip. Like Joongi (check above), the man has dipped into the color lotion that’s a few shades darker than his real skin color. Not only that, I think he’s got more makeup on… the darkened eyebrows and rosy colored pout. He just looks fake. Check him out here. (in Korean)

Lee Yoonji. Can someone tell these young actresses to pick something that fits them instead of wearing crinkled wax paper? Also, if the dress needs to be shortened into a micro mini, then please hem it so it looks professional and not like you pinned it up with some safety pins. Ugh. Check out a short clip of her here. Nam Sang-mi knows how to pose (with 1 arm resting on the hip), but she needs to work it more. But with such an ugly 2 toned dress, there is only so much you can do. The style is ok, but the color ages her 20 years. Check out her style here. (in Korean)

Park Jung-a gives Hyori a run for her money with this simple shimmery peach dress. It’s elegant and hugs her curves all in the right places. A winner. (Park Jung-a picked up an award for Radio)

Park Shin-hye. Can’t figure out what her angle is. Is she trying to be a chic painter (the hat), a glamourous star (the long gloves), casual (glad garbage bag dress), or sexy huntress (strappy shoes). All put together, this outfit is a disaster.

Yun Eun-hye. For a change in fashion, the Coffee Prince star dons a long black wig and clown pants pulled up over her chest. There is no other way to describe what she is wearing. Yun Eun-hye ends the year with the ugly bomb. Check out her pants here. (in Korean)

Agreed. Korea is no longer a struggling poor developing country where the young and innocent are sent off to countries around the world for the hopes of a better life. Now, the Korean government is campaigning to keep adoptions within the motherland.

And this year, top stars Lee Mi-yeon, Yun Eun-hye, Joo Ji-hoon, Kim Jung-Eun, Jang Hyuk, Park Jung-a, Lee Seung-ki, Wondergirls, Suh Kyeong-suk participated in a special photo shoot by photographer Cho Sei-hon.

The “Letter from the angels No. 5″ campaign started in 2003 to encourage adoptions within the country.

Chopstick thin Joo Ji-hoon models for the December 2007 issue of Singles magazine (Korea). With all the layers of clothes, the Ma-wang (The Devil) actor doesn’t look so emaciated.

Someone needs to feed this man some good home cookin’. With only 68kg to his lanky 187cm frame, he needs more meat on his bones.

The stars brought out all the stops for the 2007 Blue Dragon Film Awards last night. The female celebrities braved the cold in flimsy dresses while their male colleagues bundled up in sweaters under their suits.

Byun Jung Min. She should have called her sister, Byun Jung-soo for some style tips. This miss matched golds with white mesh is a mess.

Choi Yeh Jin, model turned actress, wears an elegant peek-a-boo black satin gown with a green fox stole.

Daniel Henney can do no wrong. Man is hot with the fresh bowl cut and the penguin suit.

The top of Han Jimin’s dress looks like it is going to give way to gravity…..but the ensemble is classic.

Is this Han Yeh Seul’s wedding day? Who wears a white ballroom gown at an awards? Total faux pas.

Hwang Bora. While everyone is wearing something long and satin, Hwang Bora thinks she is going clubbing. And even at clubs, people don’t wear bags.

Jang Geun Suk. Is that a chain hanging from your bow-tie? And is that a gray sweater underneath your jacket? Dang. That’s just not right. Here is Jang Geun-suk all nice and wear while the women are out wearing skimpy dresses.

Jo Han sun. Not feeling the plastic, too short, all black suit. And what’s with the blue handkerchief? Is that so someone can find him in the dark?

Joo Ji Hoon is soooo skinny. Man needs to eat a few more Mc D burgers. Again, here is another man wearing a v-neck sweater under the suit.

Usually, Joo Jinmo is smokin! but here he looks like an unsuccessful pimp with the sad fur collar and ill-fitting suit.

Jun Doyeon adds some sparkle and color in this bright pink outfit but the pink is not a pretty shade and the silver sequins clash with her cute black shoes.

Jung Ryu Won. Why is it that there is always a female celebrity who dons on these chest-flattening dresses? I know that these outfits are a throwback to the traditional Korean hanbok, but dang, it’s not flattering. The ugly color combo of bronze and purple combo don’t help either.

Kim Ajoong. The silver dress perfectly shows off her decolletage but her makeup needs to be redone. Bright pink lips and painted on clown eyebrows are laughable.

Oh. Disappointed. Kim Hyesoo, star of the new movie, 11th mother, can usually be relied on to wear show-stopping, cleavage bearing dresses. But this time around, she plays it safe with this neutral chiffon gown. Maybe it’s because she has turned into a movie mama?

Kim Haneul is nodding to her Korean roots with (purple) baechu on her chest. Not feeling it.

Kim Minjun. Where’s the tie? Otherwise, the suit looks good.

Kim So Yeon & Kim Kwang Woo. Obviously Ms. Kim is desperate to show other parts of her body since the last dress. I wonder what she will wear next? Maybe something clear and plastic? Her date is the better dresser.

Kim Taehee looks luminous in this cute little chiffon number. She looks like a scrumptious cream puff.

The female celebs are always competing to show off the most skin. At this awards, Kim Yunjin wins. The top of her velvet dress functions only as a nipple cover.

Lee Junki shows us how cold it is outside by wearing a black winter coat. Poor women!

Lee Mingi. Another man all bundled up in a suit with polka-dotted bowtie.

Oh my. Lee Soyeon is like a virgin in this half-lined lace dress. What about lining the rest of this dress?

Lee Taeran wants you to connect the dots up her dress. Ugh.

Lee Yoowon over accessorizes her likely expensive gray chiffon dress with cheap looking beads. Too bad.

Is Lim Jung Eun wearing blue matching shorts under that dress? And is she trying to hold it down or show off her legs? Can’t tell.

Lim Sujung is sexy in a tight, form fitting black turtle-neck dress. Yes, she is covered all up, but the dress leaves room for the imagination…

Park Shiyeon is trying to take attention away from her pale and small face (at least her nose looks better now) by wearing this low-cut black dress. This dress does nothing for her except to emphasize the expanse of her chest and her pinhead.

Park Solmi looks fabulous in this white sexy dress with the silver trimmings. This dress would have been perfect for cleavage mama, Kim Hye-soo

Hate it when the blacks don’t match. And Shin Hyun Jun looks like his borrowed his shorter brother’s jacket.

Son Yehjin follows the pack with the thigh high slit in this dark green number. There isn’t much else to say….

Is hottie Song Seungheon getting married? I think I just saw his bride- Han Ye-seul.

Song Yoona. Yawn. Another black dress. At the very least, if you wear black, you should accessorize better.

I had no idea that Devil’s vengeful lawyer, Joo Ji Hoon was a pianist in hiding. He looks mighty fine playing the concert grand in front of his Japanese fan base in Osaka. However, he can use a different hair stylist. He might look good in this angle, but wait until you see it from the other side – it’s a mop in hiding.

Joo Ji Hoon will hold another mega fan meeting with 4,000 Japanese fans on Sunday.

A recent poll inspired by Japanese drama Kimi wa Petto asked 200 college students which celeb they wanted as their pet boy and the majority of students chose Coffee Prince Gong Yoo. But we wanted to know who you want to take home as your pet boy, so here it is. If you had the chance to take these hot celebs home to become your pet boy, who would it be?

This model turned actor’s head got so big over past two years that producers are having a hard time pleasing this hard to get player. Joo Ji Hoon decided to leave the drama Hong Gil-dong only a week before production because Olive Nine, local drama production house and Joo couldn’t agree on the financial terms of the contract. Olive Nine offered him a financial package similar to his latest drama, The Devil, but Joo wanted what Yun Eunhye was getting in Coffee Prince, estimated at US $20,000 per episode.

After Joo Ji Hoon’s announcement, Jo Hyun Jae also left the drama. Jo accepted the supporting role in Hong Gil-dong because of Joo’s “star power,” but as Joo left the drama, that supporting role became meaningless to him.

Joo & Jo are actively seeking out new drama roles while producers of Hong Gil-dong are hastily trying to cast these roles before the camera starts rolling.  Hong Gil-dong is expected to air sometime in November on KBS2.

Fans figured this out early on, so they keep themselves entertained by making their own news related to Joo Ji Hoon. How clever! The most recent news I found was about the JuGal (Joo Ji Hoon Gallery) contest at dcinside.com. Basically, if you are an active member of the gallery (answering quiz questions, posting comments, etc), you win yourself the chance to win fan-made prizes, all related to Joo Ji Hoon.
