The JYP produced Joo picks up 2 awards-the Best Artist of the Month and Rookie of the Month award for her single, “Because of a Man” (trans: 남자 때문에) at the Cyworld Digital Music Awards held at the Coex Grand Conference Room in Samsung-dong on January 4^th, 2008.

Two awards after a 2 week debut. That must be a record.

And check out the woman trying to maintain her cute image with her innocent cherry print dress. Er hm, no need for the false facade, since it’s likely that her cherry has already been picked.

JYP’s latest product, Joo will not become the next ballad sensation as anticipated, not because she is ugly and lacks the vocal talent, but because of her scandalous past.

Right after her debut, pictures from her “dark high school days” spread across the web, tarnishing the “innocent” image JYP set to create. And today, a sticker picture of Joo and her boyfriend kissing was unleashed, disappointing many fans who actually believed her words when she said “Although my title song, “Because of Men” is a good song, I cannot relate because I never cried because of a man.” Well, that’s because she probably made them cry.

Smoking, drinking, hanging out with the wrong crowd and kissing your boyfriend might have been forgivable if Joo didn’t sell market herself as an “innocent” angel. Too bad that JYP and Joo weren’t equipped with common sense and morals when producing her first single.
