The stars were shining at 15th anniversary party of Elle Magazine (Korea) held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hannam-dong. The style concept was obviously red, white and black since the big names, such as 2007 Miss Universe 3rd runner up, Honey Lee stuck to the color code. Check it out. Everyone looked befittingly stylish for the fashion magazine.

Ajummas are everywhere. You can spot them by their squat bodies, aggressive attitude and permed head of hair (the “pama”). Most fashionable 20-30 somethings would not be caught dead in such a hairstyle, but with the 80’s look coming back in style, we are beginning to see the ajumma force spread to the masses. Celebs are bringing out the ajumma in them (because we all have it) by curling their locks. Kim Hee-ae’s character as glamourous and bitchy mistress in My man’s Woman had a full head of permed hair. And Bada uses the ajumma force in an attempt to revamp her career with horrid 80’s fashions. Shin Eun-kyung also channels the ajumma in her to play the strong, single career woman who seduces a man in order to have a baby in the SBS drama Bad Couple. However, the ajumma pama also crosses gender lines. The gagmen also adopt this hairdo because they want that extra laugh – even if it’s only for their hair.
