Yes, Song Hye-kyo again! With her new movie, “Make yourself at home” debuting at the Pusan Film Festival and upcoming drama with Hyun Bin, there is bound to be some media spotlight on the comeback actress.

This time, Miss Song is a plan jane as the model for the 2008 F/W catalogue domestic of clothing line, Roem. Would you buy these clothes?

Looking like a shadow of her former self, Song Hye-kyo has also been afflicted with the “extend-a-leg” syndrome in the newest ads for Levis Jeans.

We know that Levis is trying to regain its cool by having the originally stumpy-legged star as their model. But please, showing Ms. Song’s not-so-ample behind won’t help increase sales of these jeans. And looking like Kim So-yeon (above) is not the way to go.

If anything, Song Hye-kyo would be better off wearing bottom enhancing Calvin Klein jeans.

Song Hye-kyo has shed her cute image and transformed into absolutely stunning as the new face of Laneige cosmetics. Parent company Amore Pacific has done right by choosing the 26 year old star.

After looking at the new pictures of the gorgeous actress, I suddenly feel the urge to clean out my makeup drawer and get a poodle perm. If buying new makeup meant that I looked half as good as she does, then no need to hide behind this screen anymore!

As you may already know, Koreans are sensitive to the size of their faces since the national consensus is that a smaller face equates to a beautiful face. This assertion is absolutely absurd.

However we are reminded that some people still think that way. For example, in Song Hye-kyo’s new commercial (CF) for Nintendo DS, she exclaims in a cute way, “oh, the head is so big!” of the snowman from the game she is playing. A snow man! Now snowmen are subjected to discrimination against face size.

I guess that snowman can never be a star in Korea.

Same coat but completely different feel. The gorgeous Song Hye-gyo looks positively glamourous in contrast to plastic Kim A-joong who looks like she going to the crazy house. On Kim A-joong, the coat looks like a strait jacket.

What is that on her ring finger? Could Song Hye-kyo be engaged? The Korean media is speculating that she might indeed be engaged but is too shy to say anything. In response, her management company denied the rumor saying that her stylist suggested that she wear a ring on her marriage hand.

Lining the major streets of Seoul were Tak-guk-kis to celebrate 62 years of Liberation, which was smack in the middle of the week this year (August 15th). However, as the years go by, less and less people put up flags in front of their houses. Stars are no different. This year, house-dwellers, Rain, Song Hye-gyo and Kim Seung-woo all had flags flying high while no stars living in luxury condos had theirs out (i.e. Kim Hee-sun, Han Chae-young and Jeon Do-yeon). For apartments dwellers, only Lee Young-ae and Soh Yu-jin showed love, but Park Sang-a did not.

On a side note, it is interesting to see where the stars live! Rain and Ms. Song must be raking it in to live in a house in one of Korea’s most expensive neighborhoods -Samsong-dong. Similarly, Han Chae-young lives in an luxury condo in Samsong-dong. Close by in Nonhyun-dong is Kim Hee-sun and Jeon Do-yeon in Apk-jong. Perhaps this explains why I spotted her waltzing in Krispy Kremes at Apku station!

There is always an ongoing debate on whether stars have gotten plastic surgery or not. We have the general misconception that if you undergo plastic surgery your whole look will change dramatically but that is simply not true. All it takes for a gorgeous girl to become more so is just a bit of tweaking. We, at POPSEOUL!, have mentioned many times before that it only takes a few milimeters to change from good to better. And looking at the childhood pictures of stars, we can already see that they have the “batang” or basics to build on.

So guess who is who. It’s easier than you think.

The pretty and pale starlet, Song Hye-kyo looks like she had too much fun under the sun after losing some weight. Her skin is tanned and she has rimmed her eyes with black liner, giving off a dark and sexy look. The picture would be even more sexy if she had taken off that blah gray sweater. Perhaps this picture explains why she looked a bit strange on the July cover of Nuyou magazine.

Pretty starlet, Song Hye-kyo is on the cover of the latest issue of Singaporean women’s magazine, Nuyou. Normally perfectly styled, she lets loose a bit with hair that looks like she forgot to brush it – a total bird-nest frizz. Also, her face looks a bit strange – like she has buck teeth – not there is anything wrong with that but I can’t put my finger on it….maybe too much photo-shopping?

Another thing, what’s the deal with “super sex” and Miss Song on the same cover? Sex just not come to mind when I think of Miss Song. Perhaps for some people, it does….

It’s really difficult being a celeb in Korea. Not only do you have to deal with frantic fans and unrealistic expectations of beauty, but you also have to work like a dog since dramas, movies and even recordings are administered under a really tight schedule. In order to survive this killer lifestyle, many stars take power naps whenever they have even a moment to spare.
