Kang Min-kyung (Da vici), Lee Hong-ki (FT Island) Jo Kwon (2AM), and Chan Sung(2PM) will be taking their university entrance exams this year. Exam day traditionally falls on the first coldest day of the Fall/Winter. Even if they don’t do too well, they can probably get into a school anyways. A second tier university would probably be happy to accept them.

Speaking of which, there are a few girl group members who will be entering university next term. JYP’s singer Joo, Girls Generation member Yoona and Wondergirls’ Sun Ye have been accepted to Dong-guk University. And Girls Generation’s Suyoung will be at Chung-Ang University.

Pop acts performed on one for a good cause- to raise donations for the Seoul National University Children’s Hospital. The benefit performance, known as “The 1st Shooting Star Charity Concert” was held at Jamsil Stadium on October 28th. A host of big names were at hand: Wondergirls, Super Junior Happy, Bae Seul-ki, Yoonha, Super Kid, One day (2AM/2PM), Drunken Tiger, H-Yujin, Won Jun-hee, Kilgun, Mario, Sweety, Joo and others.

While many are still grieving over the recent and sudden loss of Lee Eon, another tradegy has hit entertainment community with Ahn Jae-hwan’s suicide. Ahn Jae-hwan’s body was found nearly 2 weeks after he died in a black van parked in a residential area of Seoul. Many believe that his death was the result of his USD 4 million debt from his businesses (movie and cosmetics). A few months earlier, Ahn Jae-hwan had expressed to his sonbae via sms that he wanted to die because of his financial burden. With his death, the debt is likely to be also dissolved since he and wife Jung Sun-hee were not registered as man and wife.
