“The Case of that Man and that Woman” to be exact.

After School cutie Uee and Shinhwa’s JunJin have recently released a project single titled”The Case of that Man and that Woman“. The single was released on September 24th.

In case you think this pairing is a bit odd, rest assured that it’s for a good cause. The two are working  together as part of a project by the Young Producer’s Association. The project is part of an initiative to help fight illegal file sharing and other practices that are detrimental to the changing music industry. The new project will be composed of pictorials, digital music and music videos featuring other stars like Brown Eyed Girls, K-Will, Tei and Kan Mi-yeon. It’s goal is to create a new entertainment platform to compete in the ever changed digital media business.

I haven’t yet heard the entire single yet so I’ll hold my judgments, but do you think these two can make beautiful music together?

A whopping 30 Hallyu stars will be uniting for the upcoming drama, “Superstar”.

“Superstar” will be a 10 episode hallyu drama, with the purpose of spreading the hallyu wave further through out Asia. There will be a total of 10 famous directors and 30 famous celebrities (singers, actors, actresses) that will take part in this ‘Omniverse’ project drama. Jun-jin of Shinwha, Kim Hyung-joon of SS501, Son Ho-young, Ahn Jae-mo, Sim Eun-jin, Bae Seul-gi and Seo Ji-young are just a handful of the singers that will take part in the drama.

Is it just me or does this sound a lot similar to the Telecinema TV movie project with Jae-joong featuring in ‘Heavens Postman’ and TOP and Seung-ri featuring in ‘My 19 Years’? However, it looks like Telecinema did a better job of casting celebrities that Omniverse did.

 ”Superstar” is scheduled to broadcast in various parts of Asia, including, Japan and Thailand.

That’s probably why she released her very own digital single.

Lee Si-young, who recently featured in the MV for Beige’s ‘Awfully’ alongside her beau Jun Jin, has released her very own cover of the song in a digital single album. The actress actually sang ‘Awfully’ on ‘Show! Music Core’ and ‘Music Bank’ this past June and has supposedly garnered a lot of attention for her vocals. Hence, the reason for the release of her own digital single of ‘Awfully’. However, a representative of GnG Productions has stated that she will not be officially debuting as a singer, yet.

I can’t say that she will be promoting the song through full-scale activities. Lee Si-young’s fans wanted to hear a full, official version of the song she sang this past June which lead to production and release of the single.

Her agency probably just wanted to see what kind of reaction they get from listeners and if it’s worth it for them, to let her debut as a singer. But after listening to the single, her singing is “awfully” mediocre and she should just stick to acting.

‘BBQ’ will be brought to you by Epik High and comedian Jung Hyung-don for the variety show, ‘Infinity Challenge’. This isn’t your average serving of BBQ though because you can’t eat it.

This past June 18th, Epik High attended the ‘Infinity Challenge’ taping to take part in the programs very own ‘Olympic Highway Duet Music Competition’ episode with the ‘Infinity Challenge’ members. For this episode, Epik High collaborated with Jung Hyung-don and entered the competition with ‘BBQ’, a track written and composed for the occasion by Tablo himself. ‘BBQ’ is said to be a dance track that suits the summer season with it’s exciting melody, beat and rap. While working on the track Epik High members were actually surprised by the comedian’s ability to rap. Epik High stated,

We were really surprised by Jung Hyung-don’s freestyle rap and vocal aptitude. When we were first told to work on a duet with him we were seriously worried but we’re actually satisfied with the results.

Many other artists took part in working with the ‘Infinity Challenge’ members for the ‘Olympic Highway Duet Music Competition’ which surprisingly includes Hip Hop extraordinaire, Tiger JK and his wife T (aka Tasha or Yoon Mi-rae). The full list of duets for the program is as follows: Yoo Jae-suk with Tiger JK and T, Jung Jun-ha and Afterschool, Noh Hong-chul and No Brain, Jun Jin and Lee Jung-hyun, Gil and Yoon Do-hyun Band, Park Myung-soo and Jessica, and lastly Jung Hyung-don and Epik High.

It looks like this will be quite an interesting episode of ‘Infinity Challenge’ with some great artists taking part in the show, so be sure to mark your calendars! Actually, an official air date for the ‘Olympic Highway Duet Music Competition’ episode hasn’t yet been set but it should be sometime in the beginning of July.

How?  Well, work has led to injuries.

Jun Jin will unleash his new mini-album ‘Fascination’ both online and offline on May 14th. But at his press conference on May 6th, Jun-jin revealed that he injured his wrist in the same area twice and also hurt his toe while rehearsing the dance for his new single, “Hey! Ya”. Not only that, he was just released from the hospital earlier that morning after getting surgery for his injured toe and is also scheduled to have surgery on wrist this coming 11th. Despite his injuries, the dropped ‘We got married” (WGM) cast member will make his comeback on ‘MBC-Music Core’ on May 9th.

Hopefully the now “ahjussi” pop idol isn’t making a bad move by making his comeback with a cast on his foot. Surely, his fans won’t be happy if his injuries get any worse. Now that Jun-jin has raked in some younger fans through the variety show ‘WGM’, maybe this time his mini-album won’t be as much of a failure as his previous song ‘Wa’. Well, with Son Dam-bi featuring in his new title track ‘Hey! Ya’ and his “wife”, Lee Si-young, featuring in the song and MV for the track ‘Like a dummy’, he’s probably going to get some attention.

Um…. What is Jun Jin supposed to be? Buddha? A cow? A fish? Also, love the huge (and probably single-haired mole on the side of Lee Si-young’s nose.

Say what?

You heard right. JunJin’s life pre-Shinwha was recently exposed on this week’s episode of ‘Introducing Star’s Friend’ by actor Choi Philip.

Choi Philip, who is more widely known as “little Bae Yong-Joon” than for his acting skills, revealed that JunJin of Shinwha used to be in a group called ‘Junior Republic’. The Bae Yong-joon lookalike claimed that before he debuted as an actor,  he was in a failed boy-band along with Jun Jin. To prove it,  Philip showed the old group picture on national TV.

Luckily for Jun Jin, he quit “Junior Repbulic” before joining the successful “Shinhwa.”  The MC noted  that “he made the right choice”.

Obviously, JunJin must be smarter than he looks because we ABSOLUTELY agree with that statement.  Just look at that ponytail on top of his head.

Four new couples on the new season of MBC reality program, “We are Married” will duke it out for 3 spots on the show. Starting on February 15 and lasting for 6 months, viewers will be able to choose who they want to continue seeing on the show.

Jun Jin and Lee Si-young will guest star on a special Lunar New Year episode of We’re Married” on January 25th. The pair were first featured on the January 18th episode, but no word yet on whether they will be a permanent fixture on the show. But already, both are busy with other gigs. Jun Jin is part of the cast of “Infinity Challenge” and is preparing for his comeback in March and Lee Si-young is part of the cast in the hit drama, “Boys over flowers.”

Should they stay or should they go?

The “Super Live 08” concert will bring Korea’s “talents” to Japan.

The concert will feature Jun Jin, Jun Young-rok, Park Hyun-bin, the oh-so-cute Yang Ji Won, as well as Song Bong-joo of “Scene From A Bicycle”, a stage appearence by Park Sung-min; some Japanese artists including “Cenal” and acapella group, “Permanent Fish”.

Ummm. So the biggest star is Jun Jin?

The 24th annual “One Korea Festival” is set for October 26th at Osaka Park, Japan.

It has finally happened. The longest running boy band has temporarily called it quits because of the inevitable military service.

Eric of Shinhwa has finally left to fulfill his military duties at Choongnam Nonsan Military Center on October 9, 2008. He was sent off by 200 fans from both China and Japan.

His departure now signals the countdown for the rest of the 5 members. Dongwan is up next in November and Minwoo in May 2009. On the other hand, Junjin has postponed his start for February 2009 with his announcement on October 6, 2008, With Shin Hyesung exempted from service due to his physical condition, Andy will probably follow with an announcement of his own once his solo activities are also finished.

Although this is a sad time for many dedicated fans, it was probably a good thing. With the comebacks of what seems to be every “idol” group in Fall 2008, there would have been too much competition for them anyways…

Who wants to be “together 4 ever” with someone who hangs out with 4 highschool girls?

Jun Jin puts on his first solo concert, “Together 4ever” at the standing room only, Melon AX theater in the north of the Han River. The 2 date affair, September 5th and 6th, brought on stage his Shinhwa family and guest stars Dynamic Duo.

Instead of performing, the 28 year old should be shipped off to to his mandatory military service before causing any more trouble with his ajusshi looks.
