On the November 12th episode of MBC’s “Golden Fishery,” JYP opened up about  Jaebum:

“When the news about his anti-Korean statements was first released, I believed that the level of criticism against him was too extreme. People even petitioned for his suicide. But after he left for America, the public opinion changed, saying ‘the translation was misleading and he did not do anything wrong.” It was like he actually did not do any wrong. His thoughts and mine on this matter are the same. It is somewhere inbetween. What he did was not especially horrible, but it was wrong enough that we couldn’t just ignore it and pretend it didn’t happen. It was a huge mistake. Especially for a performer, who sings, dances and performs art. We are the ones who connect different cultures, and he cannot disrespect people of a different culture like that. I believe that what he said was very wrong.

“Is Jaebum a bad kid? No, he is very kind. However, in the past, his attitude was pretty disrespectful, telling me to my face that he can succeed only if he doesn’t do a song written by me. Still, I liked Jaebum despite his bad attitude, because he never lied; he couldn’t lie. And then, he continued to change. Now, he is a different person from who he was back then. I do agree that Jaebum of the past hurt many Koreans with harsh words, and Jaebum thinks the same way. Because of that shame, he couldn’t get back on stage. But the other members still had to perform, and Jaebum did not want to drag 2PM down. That is why he said, ‘Hyung, I want to go back to America.’ If I were him, I think I would have made the same decision.

“If both Jaebum and I thought that accusations against him were wrong, then we would have fought until the end. But even Jaebum thinks that it was a great wrongdoing. If the media and the fans feel any love or understanding for Jaebum, then the best they could do is let him rest. He is taking time to think over what he did wrong, so letting him do so would help.

“To help him, what I can do is help him continue taking dancing and singing lessons, to continue training as an artist. When he wants to be return to the stage, then I will help him do so. When he comes back, Jaebum will come back as a part of 2PM, as all the members want it this way. Neither Jaebum nor the other members want him to return as a solo artist.”

Finally, JYP said, if Jaebum returns, he will return to 2PM. This is what both Jaebum and the other 2PM members want.

Wondergirls’ Ye-eun also expressed her understanding of Jaebum’s past experience. From performing America, she could see how living in a foreign country could be difficult. “Jaebum came to Korea at a really young age, I thought about how difficult that could be.”

In the end, Jaebum’s exact return has not been confirmed, but he will return. Perhaps the earlier news reports were just to stir interest in the episode.

Late last month, JYP visited Jaebum in America to give greetings and support to him during this difficult time. It is possible that at that time, JYP talked with the exiled member about the possibility of re-joining 2PM?

On a recent taping of MBC’s “Golden Fishery” (황금어장), JYP disclosed that Jaebum will return! OH MY GOSH!

This is the first official public announcement of Jaebum’s return, though JYP did not disclose exact details. Also, how exactly Jaebum will fit into the picture with 2PM, JYP has kept mum. Instead, the producer asked for the public’s understanding. So, nothing is certain on whether Jaebum will be joining his 2PM members for the new album.

The statement was made during the show’s “Knee Drop Guru” segment, through which many other celebrities have used to clear up rumors and reveal their true intentions.

It looks like JYP is giving 2PM fans a little hope.

It has been revealed that during the taping of the MBC variety program “Golden Fishery-Kneecap Guru“, singer and producer Park Jin-young, brought up the sensitive topic of Jae-bum’s return. Although nothing official has been announced, it seems as though JYP has finally opened his mouth to inform 2PM fans of the whereabouts and chances of Jae-bum returning as a member of 2PM.

The producer of “Golden Fishery-Kneecap Guru” has confirmed that during the recording, JYP did in fact bring up the topic of Jae-bum. In addition, the producer of the program has also stated that the entire segment, without any editing done, will be aired this coming November 11th.

2PM fans have also been speculating that the former leader of 2PM will be returning, after the full “What Is Your Heart Beating For?” teaser was released online. In the beginning of the “Heartbeat” teaser, Taec-yeon states,

The people I love make my heart beat. The love I give. The love I receive. Family. Friends. And the seven of us.

Could this be a sign of hope for all the 2PM fans waiting for return of the seventh 2PM member, Park Jae-bum? Or could this just be another one of JYP’s marketing tactics to get peoples attention?

…but JYP insists that his Wonder Girls are the hardest workers.

JYP and the Wondergirls sat in front of the Kang Ho-dong, host of the MBC interview program, “Golden Fishery” to talk about their entry into the U.S. market on November 4^th.

Wondergirls want to stop singing “Nobody”:

The Wondergirls joked that they can’t wait to stop singing since they have sung it more than a thousand times in various languages: Korean, English, Chinese and Spanish and in various styles: Tango and Techno. Is there a trot version  too?

JYP on breaking into the Billboard charts:

With a 51% chance of a “yes,” and short on time, JYP and the girls chartered a plane at the cost of 40 million won (30 thousand USD) to meet with the head of a nationwide clothing store chain in Columbus, Ohio in the middle of their tour with the Jonas Brothers. He told the big wig that the Wondergirls will be the next big stars and had them dance in front of him. The CEO gave the ok and had the Wondergirls CDs in his stores. As a result, the Wondergirls sold 34 thousand copies and able to hit the Billboard Top 100.

Flamboyant producer, JYP will release fresh tracks just in time for Christmas. For his last album, “Back to stage” (2007),  JYP toured around major cities in Korea as the “Naughty Party”. This year, taking the concept a step further, the naughty party will turn into the “Heartless: Now there is no love” concert. Now that he has divorced, we wonder what naughtiness will he do on stage?

As for the album, no word yet on whether it  will be a full or mini album. Further details will be released in early December.

JYP’s “Heartless” tour will hit Daegu (December 12th), Ilsan (13th), Incheon (19th) and Seoul (23rd to 26) at Olympic Park.

hi guys how have u been?

i was writing on twitter, as you know there is a limit so i couldn’t write down everything i wanted to say at once, and soon i realized that i had my own blog here to talk to you guys !!

i just got back from china, had a great time there! we felt warm and comfortable since this was the 4th time we’ve visited beijing , regardless of the fact that we’ve forgotten lots of chinese words & expressions.. T.T

but surpringly, we could remember pretty lots of words involved in food, like “Xi gua zhe(watermelon juice)” , “kao ya(duck, the most famous dish in beijing)” etc. we considered that it’s because of human’s instinct to survive… haha

BTW, have you decided what to wear for halloween?! it will be awesome if you guys upload halloween pik for me who is going to miss it crying and being depressed the entire day.. haha.. i’m fine.. i will be fine… T.T

i thought i had a lot to say today but as i get sleepy, (it’s 2am here) all i’m thinking is to get in bed now.. but i promise that i’ll write again very soon, about more intriguing stories..!

The U.S. Billboard Charts says it all!

JYP and his Wonder Girls are back in the motherland for a press conference in Kangnam on October 23^rd. JYP talked about his stars, the Wonder Girls , making inroads in the U.S. and touched on a painful spot, G-Soul and J-Lim (Lim Jung-hee).

Wondergirls:

JYP was emphatic about how well the Wonder Girls are doing in the U.S. The girls will have no plans to promote their activies in Korea but will concentrate entirely on trying to dominate the U.S. market. Already, the 5 member group has broken into the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart with their Korean hit, “Nobody”. JYP is starting to believe in his team and partners in the U.S. Among the partners are the Jonas Brothers? the Wonder Girls are the opening act for their U.S. tour.

The 36 year old producer believes that if the Wonder Girls had tried to enter the U.S. even 5 years ago, they would not have gotten to the level of success that they have now.

In addition, JYP told the press that the girls working hard. They have English lessons for 6 hours a day. And before and after their performances for 2 hours each, they hit the streets to take pictures and hang out with fans.

G-Soul and J-Lim:

JYP feels bad every time he thinks of G-Soul and Lim Jung-hee. He hooked them up with the best producers in the U.S. but nothing panned out. At the moment, he blames the credit crisis in the U.S. economy for being unable to produce a record for them in the U.S. And because of it, there are less opportunities. When he gets more power, he will turn his attention to them with a new album. JYP added that he intends to keep his promise.

The Wonder Girls are the first Asian artist since the 1980’s who have broken into the Top 100 Billboard Charts in October. The big break for the Wondergirls was opening for pop sensation, the Jonas Brothers in June 2009.

With the progress that the Wonder Girls are making, JYP’s American dream is coming true.

The 37 year old producer extraordinaire has returned to the motherland from the U.S. to work on 2PM’s new album. JYP recently announced on his Twitter account that 2PM’s second song is finished and that the new album will be out sometime in October.

However, the Korean media also reported that JYP dropped by Seattle to meet up with the ex-2PM kyopo leader, Jaebum and his family. Perhaps to console Jaebum since he is now out of a lucrative career in music?

The fallen leader of 2PM has posted up a message to his fans on the official 2PM fansite on September 21st.

The third generation Korean-American wrote:

There is a reason why I left. JYP and 2PM are like my family, and have been supporting me through this difficult time. It’s already difficult as it is…please don’t make it more difficult… I am sorry if I caused [the fans] a lot of worry.”

In response to the post, some fans are suspicious that the note is fake. Could it be?

JYP has issued a statement on the JYP homepage today in response to the unionized plea by the fans to bring Jaebum back to 2PM.

JYP stated that he did not try to stop Jaebum from quitting. Although fans may believe that 4 years of training went down the drain when Jaebum left, JYP defended the ex-leader by saying that 2PM was not considered as his entire life and that the training has not gone to waste- Jaebum still has the skills and body to show for it.

The producer added that Jaebum continues to believe that he was in the wrong and because of that fact, he cannot be part of 2PM. Also, with all the blood and sweat invested to make 2PM successful, Jaebum did not want the remaining 6 members to stop because of him. And that was also the very reason why he left the country so suddenly.

JYP also apologized that he could not do more to protect his boys and that he will make sure that something like this does not happen again in the future.

2PM will continue without Jaebum.

How will the fans react to this?

2PM fans are up in arms!

Forty-seven international 2PM fan clubs from 14 countries have issued a statement demanding that JYP Entertainment repeal 2PM Jaebum’s withdrawal from the boy group.

The fan union statement cited “disregard of human rights” and “unfair treatment” as the basis for boycotting of all future 2PM activities.
