Say what?!

There have been a lot of internet rumors lately about Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon having “something” with 2009 Miss Korea Kim Juri… yeah, that “something” being a relationship.

Kim Juri’s name shows up in Big Bang’s first album booklet in the “Thanks to” section… hmm… Additionally, there is record of Kim Juri posting on G-Dragon’s Cyworld homepage… more speculation…

G-dragon’s dongsaeng confirmed that the two were just “high school best friends.”

Kim Juri (21) won the crown of Miss Korea on the 8th of this month. Upon winning, she promised to work hard as Miss Korea and protect the title’s honor.

After winning Miss Korea, maybe she’s setting her sights higher on the man most Korean girls want to marry.

Kim Juri graduated from the Bolshoi Ballet School and enjoys various sports including horseback riding, swimming, golf, and jazz dancing. She dreams of becoming a ballerina or a diplomat, as she is fluent in both English and Russian. Quite a catch!

In an interview by Korean newspaper, “Hankook Ilbo,” the 2008 Miss Korea, Nari, had to redeem herself. Miss Korea admitted that the photos of her taken at the pageant were unflattering. That’s an understatement!

The 23 year old Yonsei student added that she can’t walk on the streets without being conscious of what she looks like (i.e. full makeup and dress). However, she will continue to go to the public bath since her momma enjoys going. So does this mean that we can check her out naked?

Now she can go back to modeling.

The title of the second runner up of the 2008 Miss Korea was snatched away from Kim Hee-kyung after pictures of the scantily-clad beauty contestant surfaced on the internet. The former underwear and nude model protested the decision by the Miss Korea Pageant committee by pointing out that the judges were already aware of the revealing pictures!

Now, if only we can uncover some dirt on the current Miss Korea, Nari, then just maybe, Korea will have a chance at next years Miss Universe.

The Miss Korea pageant is usually rather boring, but this year is different. First, POPSEOUL! couldn’t get over how a mug like Nari’s was given the crown. And now, one of the runner ups has been hiding a sordid past that she probably doesn’t want revealed.

Pictures of Miss Korea 2008 runner up, Kim Hee-kyung as a cheap nude/underwear model have been uncovered by alert netizens. Now we know how she became a finalist…

Wow. To think that an ex-topless model has made it to the finals of the Miss Korea competition! If the 24 year old underwear model can be a finalist of Miss Korea, then the door is wide open for anyone.

This can’t be the same person! After winning the crown of Miss Korea 2008, Nari is trying to do damage control by releasing normal pictures of herself looking her real age. If this is what 23 year old Yonsei student really looks like (albeit some major graphic alternations), then who is in the hell is the woman who snagged the title of Miss Korea?

I don’t understand how she could have won. The other runner ups were much more easy on the eyes.

Maybe the judges equated big hair to big beauty. Generally, an average girl can look va-va-voom with a big pompadour since it takes away from her face and softens the features. But the new 2008 Miss Seoul needs more than big hair.

The new Miss Korea, Nari looks like an old relic of the 1970’s beauty queens-she is pear-shaped with wide child bearing hips, has short legs with moos,  and a wide face that only a mother could love. This is not the body or the face that is considered the Korean ideal in any way. In fact, she has all the features that people want to avoid (yes, very unfortunate!)

The 23 year old (going on 40)  Yonsei University graduate was crowned as the new Miss Korea 2008 on August 6, 2008 at the Seoul Sejong Center. The red-nosed ajumma will scoop up 10 million won (9800 USD) in earnings and begin her makeover training soon.

Check out the home-made gown! Who wears something like that these days? And how did she win in this awful swimsuit? If Nari can be Miss Korea, almost anybody can. So, that’s a good thing.

Sun Lee, Miss Korea 2007,  has passed the crown to the new Miss Korea 2008 (more on that later) but the woman looks ghastly in a plunging, cleavage baring 70’s flowy curtain dress. Sun did not make it the finals of the Miss Universe pageant this year, even with the help of seasoned trainer, Ines Ligron, who trained last year’s MIss Universe, Riyo Mori. But let’s face it, Sun could not compete with Honey Lee.

But now,  with one quick glance (that’s all you need) at the new Miss Korea, Sun Lee should not give up the crown so quickly.
