Take a listen, you won’t be disappointed.

With an explosion of girl groups and boy groups ushering the new season, it’s refreshing to see boys and girl in a single group. HinT consists of female vocalist Yeun-gyung, rapper Ju-in (bowl cut), and rapper Shin-gyu who is the baby of the group with a birth year of 1991. Yeon-gyung was previously a solo singer that debuted in 2004 under the stage name Daylight. Her vocal style has pop-rock sensibilities, and blends together well with the smooth and melodic rapping of the two male members.

Their debut single, “Passion’s Generation“, is refreshingly catchy without resorting to annoying repetition that’s been rampant in hit songs to get you hooked. The MV makes good use of soft focus to set a nostalgic atmosphere. Shin-gyu and Ju-in running around and playing in mud really captures a sense of rambunctious youth that can transcend age.

I don’t know about you, but I’m really digging this. Give it a shot~

Fresh off of the success of his insanely popular drama “Shining Inheritance,” Lee Seung-ki has returned to his roots to record his 4th album titled “Shadow.” The teaser for his highly anticipated first single “Let’s Break Up” has just been released.

Epik High’s anticipated sixth album “[e]” is set to drop on September 16th, so just to get fans hyped up they’ve released a video preview of their latest album. It’s quite a nice teaser. The album design includes graceful and simplistic art, and as well as a lot of little extras in the booklet. Tablo flips through practically every page of it in the teaser. Interestingly enough, at the end of the booklet, there seems to be pages for you to write and draw in.

For “As Long As I Love You“.

The anticipated collaboration between dance diva, Lee Hyo-ri, and Taiwan’s hottest male singer, Wilber Pan, has finally been unveiled. As a part of an endorsement deal for Hyundai i30, the two made a CF MV, along the lines of Samsung’s Anycall campaign, featuring a budding work relationship and possibly romance between the two stars.

The narrative flows quite nicely, and the two have good chemistry, but more along the lines of platonic compatibility than romantic fireworks. Lee Hyo-ri shows us what she is good at: dancing and flashing that smile; while Wilber Pan shows us his superstar persona that he also played in the Taiwanese drama, “Miss No Good“. I also felt they made a good use of the cars: still a Hyundai i30 model, but two different colors, which is also reflected in the character Lee Hyo-ri plays in the CF.

Member Amber proves that she’s an incredibly good-looking boy.

Rookie SM group f(x) has just released the full MV to their debut single “LA chA TA“. Each girl gets a designated theme, and it works quite well all together. As for the song, I still find it a weak debut single: not very catchy, not very powerful and no striking feature. Am I just being harsh?

Luna has some impressive chops, and the voice of boyish Amber balances out the song, even though she doesn’t exactly get a solo part. Krystal sounds nothing like her big sis  Jessica, but she does have a decent singing voice. Victoria just brings a lot of charisma and flair, and Sul-li doesn’t leave that big of an impression on me, except “Oh she’s adorable.”

I do see a “female SHINee” in them, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. f(x) showcases a lot of potential.

I’m actually liking what I’m hearing and seeing.

After becoming a “Hot Issue“, 4minute is ready to move on and bring us some “Muzik” with their new MV. I have to admit it’s pretty hot. The beats of this song are pumping and the girls look quite dynamic with their upgraded style. Ji-yoon gets a lot of spotlight, and the climax actually consists of her ditching the sunglasses. Hyun-ah’s voice is much more bearable (although her purple wig look is not), and her rap portion actually makes me appreciate her presence. The rest of the girls get a good amount of screen time, and they’re all looking good.

Featuring the real Brown Eyed Girls, Jaebum and Nichkhun! As we’ve reported earlier, the boys of 2AM and 2PM teamed up for a parody of the Brown Eyed Girls’ hit song “Abracadabra” as the infamous “Dirty Eyed Girls.” Finally, after countless teasers, the full MV was released on their show Mnet “Wild Bunny“. Will JYP laugh or be pissed? Check it out~

Quite the veterans (well, two of them at least)!

On August 15th, Jewelry commenced filming on the music video for their comeback single “Strong Girl“. Star Empire Entertainment has recently released a photo showing the girls each sporting gowns designed by Lee Sang-bong and looking rather “Sophisticated“, as their album title states. They are really pushing the “Vari2ty” aspect, as each lady dons a different kind of dress. I think it clashes, but we’ll just have to see how it is executed when the whole MV comes out.

Baek Ji-Young released her new mini-album “EGO” on August 13th, along with “My Ear’s Candy“ MV featuring 2PM’s Taec-yeon.

It has only been a day since the release and she has already taken the number one spot on the online music chart at Bugs.

Baek Ji-young’s first performance will be at Music Core on August 15th.

Beyonce wore her curtain shades eight months before Taec-yeon wore his in Baek Ji-young’s “My Ear’s Candy“.

Taec-yeon’s curtain shades are way too long. It hovers over his face like a ridiculous sheet. You can’t even tell it’s him. It could be the “legendary” trot singer Tae Jin-ah.

Beyonce’s, however, are trimmed appropriately at the right length where her lips and nose are shown.

In this case, Beyonce’s shades are luxurious, while Taec-yeon’s are the $10 knock-off that your friend bought from a street vendor.

Oh my, what Europe has done for you.

After releasing her latest single “Arisong” in Europe first, the long-legged lady is ready to take her sultry techno flavor to Korea. For her teaser, Hwang-Bo emanates the sophistication of a high-class streetwalker.

I have to admit that I’ve never found the brassiere with jacket ensemble tasteful, and I don’t really find it tasteful here either, but Hwang-Bo is looking mighty fine (in her other outfits) and that thick feline-style eyeliner is a nice touch.

Even though the SHINee boys are currently taking a break from the Korean music scene, their music is still present in the form of the song “Countdown” for the soundtrack of the SBS drama “Dream“. This MV is a compilation of scenes from the drama, which features Kim Bum, Joo Jin-mo, and Son Dam-bi. Watching this MV may arouse your interest in glistening well-built male bodies the drama.

“Dream” is currently airing. With six episodes out of the way, it’s garnering fairly okay ratings in the 5%-8% range.
