Maybe you remember cries of thousands of fans from the lip-locking between Ji-yeon and Yoo Seung-ho in T-ara’s “Lies” music video.
Well, T-ara’s Ji-yeon has will be hooking up with the cutie once again as the  main female character in the KBS 2TV Korean adaptation of the Japanese comic/high school .drama “Dragon Zakura.” The Korean title is roughly translated into “God of Study” (공부의 신). KBS 2TV seems to be channeling “Boys Over Flowers” in going after another Japanese comic remake.
Kim Soo-ro (Our School’s E.T.) has also been cast as their teacher hoping to get them into good university.
“God of Study” will take up the Monday and Tuesday 9:55 time slot after “Invincible Lee Pyeong-hwa” ends on January 4th, 2010.

They are actually one person…or at least they look like it.

T-ara is ready to make their impression on the music scene. T-ara has made their lackluster debut on MBC Golden Fishery Radio Star, which honestly shouldn’t be a debut, but rather just their first official public appearance because they didn’t really even sing.

T-ara’s MV for “Lies” has just been released, and I have to say I’m liking what I’m seeing. The antique, preppy style is quite charming, and the presence of Yoo Seung-ho as a player you only wish you could hate make this MV worth watching. Ji-yeon is one lucky girl for getting the only kiss in the MV.

They still all kind of blend together for me, except Bo-ram (short hair) and Ji-yeon, but it does seem like Mnet Media has a good shot with these girls as an idol group.

Park Bo-young and Yoo Seung-ho, have been chosen to be the new faces for the famous pizza brand in Korea, Mr. Pizza.

Actress Moon Geun-young was Mr. Pizza’s previous model and has been for the past four years. Since Moon Geun-young is growing older, she’s losing the “little sister of Korea” image, especially with all those younger kids debuting. So obviously, Mr. Pizza needed some fresh new faces to take her place. Thus actors Park Bo-young and Yoo Seung-ho were chosen, why? A representative of Mr. Pizza stated,

Moon Geun-young, who has been the CF model for Mr. Pizza, for the past four years had a friendly and approachable image. After careful consideration about who would be able to maintain that image, Park Bo-young and Yoo Seung-ho were chosen as the new models. The new models, Park Bo-young and Yoo Seung-ho began working on both print and TV ads on the 8th.

The concept for the new Mr. Pizza CF is about an emotionless queen (Park Bo-young), who tastes the pizza her adviser (Yoo Seung-ho) brings her and is captivated by the taste, sharing the joy with her adviser. But, what girl wouldn’t be captivated by a cutie like Yoo Seung-ho flashing his pearly whites and offering them some pizza? Certainly, not I!

The awards given out at the 2nd Mnet 20’s Choice Awards on August 23rd 2008 were tabulated democratically by popular vote, but the results say otherwise.

An industry insider told us that the award shows are not democratic but are the result of deal making by music industry executives. If this is true, then we know why Park Yong-ha was picked as “Hot Global Star.” Who is he? Fellow nominees, Rain, Dong-bang-shin-ki or even the sexy Song Seung-heon are more widely known stars. And what’s with “Hot School girl” category? That doesn’t sound right. And is there an age limit on this? This one smells like it was made specifically for Sohee. And lastly, the “popular vote” for the “Hot issue maker” should be the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Myung-bak, not U.S. beef, for being wooed by the U.S. government on the golf course and then hastily signing the U.S. import beef agreement without consulting his government.
