Fansubber’s Top Dramas

Before you get started on another round of new dramas that came out last week, make sure to check out these oldies but goodies according to fansubbers. The results were based on a survey taken by fansubbers and they sure know a thing or two about good dramas. Drum rolls please….and here are the results.

top-5-dramas.jpg

Already saw those? Well, did ya check out these yet? Fansubbers were watching these dramas at the time of the survey. Out of the list, I recommend Thank You! It’s a lovely drama that will just warm your heart. And if you haven’t noticed, I can’t stop praising about this drama!

what-to-watch-now.jpg

For those Thank You fans out there, did ya know that Jang Hyuk started out his career as a singer? Check out his MV “Hey Girl.” It’s hilarious because it’s so cheesy!

  3. 3 Dana May 23, 2007 at 6:28 am

I equally loved Full House & My Girl.

  4. 4 jane =] May 23, 2007 at 7:11 am

  5. 5 Jane May 23, 2007 at 8:20 am

oh yeah, i remember watching this music video. hilarious!

    thanks again~

  6. 6 tae May 23, 2007 at 8:26 am

i don’t think my girl is that good…maybe because in my opinion it’s lighter than most korean dramas i’ve seen (i’m currently watching it now). i loved full house!! i don’t know anyone who doesn’t…

btw i think delightful girl choon hyang should be the top 5 :]

  7. 7 Lydia May 23, 2007 at 8:35 am

I agree with you, Dana! I loved Full House and My Girl

  8. 8 nileey May 23, 2007 at 8:35 am

I am very happy that MISA is top 5 too, even though it’s a sad drama. Love the performance and chemistry betwee Soo Ji Sup and Im Su Jung.

  9. 9 lalala May 23, 2007 at 8:37 am

WHAAAAT??awww i’ve started watching all of those and i’ve got to say that i’m totally hooked on….wait for it….the devil!!! im sorry but something about that drama is just….SO GOOD. ahaha…for me, the next best would either be Witch Yoo Hee or Hello! Miss =)

  10. 10 Edgar May 23, 2007 at 8:47 am

wow. that was cheesy. i need some water. that video stuck to the top of my mouth right now. wow.

I prefer not to watch K-dramas. Made the mistake of watching one once. It wreaked havoc on my emotional balance/well-being.

  11. 11 bubbles May 23, 2007 at 9:19 am

I’ve watched 4/5 of the fansubbers recommendations!woot! Yeah, i didnt think that Bad Family was that popular as well, but it was a really good drama to me, light hearted but heart warming at the same time :) My Girl, MNIKSS, Full House are classic k-dramas of that time (love contract etc), but they were just so good! the other drama i like is ‘lovers in prague’ though i know its not very popular..it was just too sad a love story to me and i love it! :D

  12. 12 kiwee May 23, 2007 at 9:28 am

    seriously, i

  13. 13 kiwee May 23, 2007 at 9:30 am

wow where did my comment go.
:love delightful girl choonhyang. i also really liked my girl too though… it was like my REAL sister/cousin/whatever is alive! you can leave! wait she’s dead! you must stay! oh she’s alive! i love you joo yoo rin!

  14. 14 Eve May 23, 2007 at 9:32 am

haha omg the video is so cute!

  15. 15 shan May 23, 2007 at 10:35 am

“I’m Sorry I Love You” and “Bad Family” are definte musts of the past. I must be the only person that didn’t care for “MNIKSS”. I got through 3 eps and that was enough for me. I will, however, go back and give “My Girl” a try.

  16. 16 Suki May 23, 2007 at 11:00 am

=O currently watching my girl, I bet I’m gonna really enjoy this. I watched Full House and I LOVED it. And Bad family was good too.

  17. 17 nan May 23, 2007 at 11:18 am

I LOVE THANK YOU. it’s the best drama so far for 2007. watched all top5 except bad family and MISA tops it for me. and i understand MISA and THANK YOU share the same writer? Jang Hyuk is such a great actor and the leading lady too. really recommend THANK YOU!

  18. 18 joyce May 23, 2007 at 11:34 am

    wow…
more people would rather watch witch yoo hee than the devil
    hahaha
but i really agree with thank you..
i can write an essay about how great that drama is
    hahahaha

  19. 19 Anne May 23, 2007 at 12:47 pm

Yay for Thank You! That drama totally rocked and I think I cried in nearly every episode! Am very glad! I can’t believe Sam Soon wasn’t the top. My Girl was fun too! =)

  20. 20 nini May 23, 2007 at 12:51 pm

I love Thank You. Jang Hyuk was amazing. Would put it up alongside MISA and A Love to Kill. Wonderful lines and beautiful acting by Jang Hyuk and Hyojin. Would want to see a sequal to it though. Wish the ending is more intense.

  21. 21 alexthegirl May 23, 2007 at 1:14 pm

I’ve watched four out of those five and only one is in my all time top list but they’re not bad at all. “I’m sorry, I love you”/”Me anh ada, sarang handa” is on my back burner. hrmmm. Seems like I should check out Thank You huh?

  22. 22 alexthegirl May 23, 2007 at 1:26 pm

SURPRISE! It’s “Gianna” Jun being yupki again. hahahaha I’ve watched four of the top five and only one is in my own top dramas list. hahaha I’ve got to watch “Meanhanda/Saranghanda” next..even though it’s fairly “old”. hahahaa I should take you up on your suggestion though PopSeoul and watch “Thank You”.

  23. 23 marie s May 23, 2007 at 1:42 pm

full house is by far the best for me. a close second is goong. and third is goong s.

to compare full house and my girl is such a slap on the face for full house. the pacing of full house is way much better, and song hye kyo’s acting was more natural. as compared to lee da hae’s, which is bordering on slapstick.

  24. 24 alyssa May 23, 2007 at 2:18 pm

the best is MY GIRL,i dont like full house its very over acting..go!my girl, is the best cause it is very funny and emppresive..i like the acting of lee da hae compare to song hye kyo…and rain?oh..he’s not belong to acting…full house is very boring….i agree with the poll thats good

  25. 25 Dark Angel May 23, 2007 at 9:50 pm

Full House, My Girl & My Lovely Sam Soon is a must watch!
Rain’s sextremely cute in Full Hosue, Hyun Bin is so adorable in My Lovely Sam Soon and My Girl’s story plot was great!

  26. 26 Dark Angel May 23, 2007 at 9:55 pm

    sorry, stypo error… it’s extremely cute… apologies

  27. 27 jicks May 23, 2007 at 10:27 pm

I dare say, as much as I love it, My Girl’s slightly overrated. Great the first time around but somehow loses something on a re-run. Full House & MNIKSS are still fun to watch though ^____^

I haven’t rewatched MISA because it left me too depressed afterwards lol But hands down the best drama out there.

I badly want to see Thankyou, Jang Hyuk has gotten so much hotter :D

  28. 28 Daenarys May 23, 2007 at 11:06 pm

Aaaaawwww, the fansubbers nailed it. I must’ve watched My Girl at least 10 times over now, and still love it to bits - the grandpa death scene alone still makes me cackle! As for Thank You: all I can say is thank yuuuuuuu for Jang Hyuk!!

  29. 29 Daenarys May 23, 2007 at 11:08 pm

Ps: how come Que Sera Sera is # 4?? It’s brilliant!

  30. 30 sia May 24, 2007 at 1:15 am

lol on the cirle diagram i’ve seen all of the dramas, except for bad family……..
loved all the other dramas ;)

  31. 31 popseoul May 24, 2007 at 2:29 am

Daenarys - the chart above is just the summary of the survey. It’s possible that many fansubbers who watch QSS did not participate in the survey but it’s also possible that many fansubbers just don’t share your taste, but still at #4 - don’t you think that that’s good?

  32. 32 Daenarys May 24, 2007 at 2:36 am

Yeah, it’s cool. Only I thot that the script, direction & acting was way better that #2 and (definitely) #3….

  33. 33 Sana May 24, 2007 at 3:57 am

I watched, My Girl, My name is Kim Sam Soon and Misa, and they surely merit to be in the top 5!!
I just watched Que sera sera, and currently I’m watching Hello Miss, and both are really good too!

  34. 34 mawee May 24, 2007 at 11:34 am

i really want to watch thank you ^^
and when i first saw jang hyuk i thought he was jung woo sung~ could they be seperated at birth? keke..

  35. 35 Lola May 24, 2007 at 11:00 pm

i have my own opinion…pls. respect…the best korean drama for me are Princess Hour,,Snow Queen,,Full House,, My Girl,, Which Planet are you from,, My lovely Samsoon and One Fine Day…

  36. 36 Tiffany May 25, 2007 at 10:07 am

I started watching Thank You and can’t get enough of it. I saw a bit of Hello! Miss and had to say a quick GOODBYE to that remashed mess. The lead girl was just super annoying. Seemed to be too exaggerated

  37. 37 marie s May 30, 2007 at 8:41 pm

my girl may have been a better watch if not for lee da hae’s overacting, bordering slapstick. she seems to have brought some of yoo rin’s nuances to her character su ha in hello miss, to a much less extent. and because of that, i liked hello miss much better. my point being, lee da hae doesn’t have that much of a range. song hye kyo is way better. and also kang hye jung, who stars in the new kbs drama flowers for my life replacing hello miss!

  38. 38 marie s May 30, 2007 at 8:43 pm

tiffany, i agree. but really, there was an improvement already. she was more exagerrated in my girl.

  39. 39 marie s May 30, 2007 at 8:47 pm

i watched thank you with bad subs. so there are points i do not understand. in the first episode, there is a scene showing bom feeding her grandma, with seok hyun studying english. and then young shin, running from the fields in a gown, asks seok hyun to stop her from marrying someone else. and then seok hyun says he doesn’t deserve her, because he has a senile mother and a daughter already. well, it couldn’t be bom because it was from years ago. but seok hyun’s daughter doesn’t appear in the present time as well. what’s up with that? i would appreciate it if somebody can answer my question.

  40. 40 popseoul May 30, 2007 at 10:13 pm

marie s, that’s young shin’s dream with seok hyun in young shin’s situation (taking care of his sick mom while he’s trying to study to earn a high school degree)
if i remember correctly, she was day dreaming while she was taking her final high school exam - which hints that she still loves seok hyun and that she understands how undesirable her situation is

i hope that this clarified your question. feel free to ask us more questions regarding the drama - i could talk about it all day :)

  41. 41 yoorin05 May 31, 2007 at 11:33 am

This one goes to My Girl.A very great story.Keep up the good work

  42. 42 marie s May 31, 2007 at 8:07 pm

thanks popseoul! :) really love your site. very up-to-date.

  43. 43 ZASHI June 1, 2007 at 4:14 am

I love Jang Hyuk and so addicted to THank you. It is one of the good dramas to come out in 2007. Bom is such a sweetie and Mr. Lee and his choco pies. I love this show.

  44. 44 marie s June 1, 2007 at 4:31 am

anybody watched hello miss! i watched episodes six onwards via kbs. then watched first six episodes thereafter with bad subs.

what did man bok see behind the doors when he was getting dumplings? this is shown in flashback format, when man bok (donggyu’s grandpa) and ji hak (su ha’s grandma) were still young? why didn’t they end up with each other?

is ji hak married to the crazy grandpa hacking manbok?

this might be in episode 5, minister guo was explaining the importance of hwaandang to manbok to his boss, chang min’s mom. what was it that minister guo said? oooh bad subs. hope somebody can answer my questions.

  45. 45 marie s June 3, 2007 at 5:54 pm

my all time favorites are full house, goong and goong s. so i actually surprised myself by actually agreeing that full house is a bit overrated. i think the reason is both because rain and song hye kyo are so popular individually, and because their team-up was so widely accepted.

clearly, the hype has its own foundations, because of the two reasons i mentioned in the first paragraph. did you know that it garnered a 50+ ratings both in the philippines and thailand, which is such a feat.

the premise in itself sparks many questions. i am often asked by my kdrama friends that full house’s story can NOT really happen in real life…how can dong wook sell the house without ji eun’s signature? i just figured that since dong wook works in a bank, he may know ji eun’s safety deposit box number where the deed may be kept. Perhaps what concern me most is that most of the scenes are in the house, but even that can be justified as it is about the house.

i like full house because of its script and pacing. it is just so damn funny and cute at the same time, with no boring moment passing by.

the actors not only act well, but they do have some kind of strong chemistry, especially rain and hye kyo. Their interpretation of their characters were so natural it’s like its their second skin. In fact, I think I started to like them as actors because of their characters.

the characters have good hearts. this is one of the few kdramas and dramas in general where i find that no one is sooo “sinister”, which is a reality in life. not all characters are like kim tae hee in stairway to heaven. i mean, the second leads were doing something bad but not sinister, and they only did so because of love.

and last but not the least, i think nobody would contradict me in saying that full house is highly “rewatchable”. there are kdramas that when you watch them, they’re very good. but come re-run, you just can’t seem to get yourself as glued or even glued as you were before.

  46. 46 marie s June 3, 2007 at 5:56 pm

i couldnt say that the actors acted well, especially for kim jung hoon. yoon eun hye and song ji hyo were fine but not great. ju ji hoon was tolerable. he was so stiff, but i guess that’s fine since he’s portraying a stiff character anyway. (the same approach he does his oh seung hwa character in the devil. m beginning to wonder if he has an acting range.) there’s also no denying that eun hye and ji hoon definitely have chemistry.

the premise was magnificent and creative. who would have thought of modern monarchy in korea? i agree that goong was a bit draggy. but i think it was because it was extended during the latter part due to its high ratings.

i also like the conflicts of the story. it’s very deep. min hyo rin and lee shin being first loves. lee shin falling in love with shin chae gyung unexpectedly, the past happening again…shin and yul’s father falling in love with yul’s mother at the same time. lee yul, who is shin’s cousin, falling in love with her sister-in-law chae gyung, who was supposedly his bride had his father not died, the struggle for the crown prince position between shin and yul, the similarity between yul’s mother and hyo rin as being ambitious, the parallelism of hyo rin’s character with camilla, the dilemmas o not being able to follow or even have your own dreams because as a royalty, you were destined and duty-bound to your country. there are just so many aspects and conflicts that were expounded so nicely.

and this is highly re-watchable too.

  47. 47 marie s June 3, 2007 at 5:56 pm

goong s for the most part shares similar plots and conflicts with goong, except for the reverse of the main lead. shin chae gyung’s counterpart here is se7en. but i can see a little bit of chae gyung in both hoo and soon ae, as their both from out the palace and they’re both always committing mistakes. i can see both shin and yul in joon. shin because he’s stiff, and yul because he led a damned hard life psychologically. min hyo rin’s character is manifested in shin sae ryung.

the premise is the same and strong, but the pacing and character development were not. for one, and in my opinion, the dragging part was mostly in the middle, during the contest for the crown prince position. the preparation and the contest itself was so lengthy, and the story was just stagnant and going nowhere.

the main difference, which i liked though, was that hoo is more romantic and showy than shin. there were a lot of lovey-dovey scenes between hoo and soon ae, and their love for each other was not merely kept to themselves but was explicitly agreed between the two, unlike shin and chae gyung, it’s all so implicit.

the conflicts were not as strong in that the foundations were not laid very well. the love quadrangle was not as convincing as goong’s. for one, hoo was never in love with sae ryung. it was just infatuation. so how can you build a tension between the triangle soon ae-hoo-sae ryung? goong’s was very effective and deeply embedded because shin was totally in love with hyo rin and they had a relationship, not just a mutual understanding. secondly, joon and soon ae are not really as good friends as chae gyung and yul. in fact and if i remember correctly, there was even a scene in either episodes 5, 6 or 7 where soon ae tells joon to stop flirting with her. while yul fell in love with chae gyung during the formation of their friendship. the bottomline is, it was really a no brainer to conclude that hoo and soon ae would much rather choose each other than sae ryung and joon respectively. this was not the case with goong, as there is the “possibility” that they might choose the second leads, even though they are the ones in love.

as with goong, i loved the rivalry between hoo and joon in both love and the crown, as i did with shin and yul. in fact, i think this conflict may par with my liking of the love aspect of the story.

  48. 48 marie s June 3, 2007 at 5:56 pm

my girl??? i watched it in fast forward mode. i think the story is fine, and so are the characters. but it was hard for me to watch lee da hae’s “slapstick”antics. it was just too much of an exagerration on yoo rin’s character. had she not done so and acted just naturally, maybe i would have watched and rewatched it. (i mean, lee dong wook is so handsome!!!)

another thing is i can’t seem to watch park shi yeon for a long time as well. her face, in filipino terms, looks or is “retokada”, meaning, she has undergone a lot of plastic surgery. it was just too obvious that it’s hard to watch her on tv.

i enjoyed hello miss though. i’ve read on some sites that they see yoo rin and su ha’s character as the same. to some extent yes, because lee da hae’s acting range is not that wide. she can not interpret a character in a unique way. though being su ha, the exagerration way much lessened.

i’d love to read a thorough critique of my girl. coz i’m really curious as to how many people love it. there really must be something in it i am not seeing.

  49. 49 bubu June 5, 2007 at 2:13 pm

omg.. my girl ’s the best..
full house not enough drama , so its
    kinda boring at the end..
BTW, anyone know where to find the
    romanized lyrics of my girl?
Oh, and MNIKSS, that show rocks!!
that shows funnier than full house..
    yeah.. ^_^

  50. 50 anne June 7, 2007 at 8:06 am

lee da-hae with not much range? you must not have seen her in all her other dramas. she was perfect in my girl, voice, facial expression, everything. lee da-hae made joo yu-rin come to life, she made my girl the comedic hit it was. too bad some people can’t appreciate that. in hello baby she’s acting similar to her character in my girl? well, seems even the director is a fan of my girl, because he’s actually praising her acting and even asking her to keep it up. it’s another romantic comedy and this time it’s aimed at an even younger audience, so that’s the point of her acting, to make it all the more livelier to keep them entertained. it’s too bad that the characters seem similar, but i think lee da-hae does a good job of distinguishing them from each other as the series progresses. joo yu-rin and lee su-ha are almost complete opposites when you actually follow the characters. anyway, personally i don’t even think starring in hello baby was lee da-hae’s first choice. kbs really seemed like they wanted her, and only her, for this drama. they even requested for her to star in it a second time, after she had at first rejected the offer. but oh well, seems like it all worked out fine in the end, cause she’s even said that she doesn’t mind if it isn’t a big hit, cause she’s having fun shooting it and the cast and crew are all great people to work with. so yeah, that was nice. i’ll miss hello baby, but yeah, my girl was and is the better drama. and i agree with the fansubbers on both lists too! except, i think the devil and que sera sera should rank higher, probably second and third, with hello baby and yoo-hee actually fourth and fifth. thank you definately deserves the top spot here!

  51. 51 erms June 13, 2007 at 4:50 pm

i agree with tae. somehow i think delightful girl choon hyang is interesting to watch, and is charming in its own kind of way, thats y. (or maybe im biased towards jae hee, the he he..)

  52. 52 anonymous June 14, 2007 at 8:56 am

Agree that Thank You is the best drama so far for 2007. I think that My Girl (as entertaining as it was) is overrated. I didn’t enjoyed it as much as MNIKSS. Maybe because it was too light hearted. Delightful Girl Chun Hyang should be in the top 5. It is underrated cause it was shown wayyy back in 2005 and its 2 leads are less well known. But definitely a good comrom and the best (IMO) out of the three works by the Hong sisters.

  53. 53 diane June 20, 2007 at 1:30 am

Hahaha!! You can say that I’m addicted to kdramas…I’ve watched all the top5 dramas except i’m sorry i love you because i don’t like so jisup.Hehe!!I keep thinking how he make jo insung cry in what happened in bali? Nways, i’m still looking for thank you and que sera sera but i’ve watched the rest of the must sees…I like hello! miss the best!I’m still watching mawang.

  56. 56 Fobbiyo July 22, 2007 at 2:18 pm

I’ve watched a couple episodes of Hello!Miss and to me.. its sort of entertaining and stupid at the same time. If the first episode doesn’t attract me then most likely I will not watch it. and the first episode for Hello!Miss wasn’t that attractive. The only reason why I wanted more was because JiHoon is such a HOT guy. and Witch Yoohee was fun in the beginning, then I got really annoyed of the lead girl. and Dennis can NOT act! Maybe be can but not in Korean??? because his accent also annoyed me. hahha. Hes HOTT but i think he should just stick to modeling. I thought Daniel Henney acted better than him -___- omggg. hahaha. I think Lovers should be on the list of what to watch now. People should watch that and Lovers in Paris :D and I did felt that My Girl.. wasn’t THAT great of a drama. it was okay. I somewhat enjoyed it. but not really. & the couple at the end of My Girl is in Delightful Girl Choon Hyang! hahaha. How ironic? and Thank You was the first drama I’ve ever watched in 3 days. It was THAT good. and the first episode was interesting. and the spoilers at the end just made me want to watch it even MORE. The little is truely talented and the Grandpa was the cutest character throughout the whole drama! talking about the drama just makes me want some Chocopie. haha. I watched most of the dramas in the top 5. But I’m still on epsiode 2? or something for Sorry, I love you. hahah. Its been a year since I’ve started that. and for the newer dramas, I’ve only finished Thank you and started Que Sera Sera. Witch YooHee, and Hello! Miss. QueSeraSera had wayyyy too many kiss scenes for my taste.

  57. 57 anony July 22, 2007 at 3:56 pm

My Girl is too over rated. I only enjoy the bickering between the two aunties, LOL~, they were so funny!

Lee Dong Wook… he doesn’t excite me.
Lee Jun Ki… not enough screen time.
    Lee Dahae… she’s cute

I would have expected Full House getting more votes here.

  58. 58 hazelrain- July 24, 2007 at 1:32 am

I SECOND U ANONY!! ^_^ full house da best!
btw.. THAT MV WAS SO DAMN HILARIOUS! GOODNESS I LAUGHED A HELL LOT WHILE WATCHING IT! yeah… its cheeeeeeeeeesy~~ -_-”

  61. 61 SARANGHAEYORAIN! August 4, 2007 at 8:35 am

    agree with Dark Angel

  62. 62 maku August 5, 2007 at 5:28 am

When this news about survey came out I watched all of them, but I can say in FULL HOUSE I never lose the desire to watch it again and again.
I think I have watched it like nth times. Its because I love Song Hye Kyo’s acting, She and Rain and even Min Kyuk are very spontaneous, very natural. The Koreans must be proud of her, many in my circle of friends here in California who are not Koreans love her very much. It was only from her role in Endless Love that we came to know her
from our friends in Singapre. In HongKong my friend who owns a video store said among Korean’s video which is saleable is FULL HOUSE.
In this survey I really can not believe FULL HOUSE is only ranking from My Girl. I like Kang Dong Wook, but still the team of SHK and Bi, their chemistry is really good. I really do not watch movies, but my friends always bring these tapes when we have gatherings. From the time I watched Endless Love, I remember Song Hye Kyo and watched most of her movies/drama. I was hooked to her beauty and acting.
I wonder why Endless Love was not included. I worked in
an international shipping company that’s why I know who
among your stars are known in their countries especially
in Singapore and the Philippines, even in Vietnam
    and Hongkong.
Well in fainess I have liked Goong Palace 1 and my Girl
they are also good. It was played while we have a party
but not like FULL HOUSE when it was viewed, I forgot the
party and get glued to the drama - hilarious, spontaneous,
superb and star is beautiful. she never had a shot that she is not gorgeous, not like the star in some drama, that need to be careful on their shots to get their good angel.
Hurrah to Korean star = SHK.

  71. 71 chrysophobic October 9, 2007 at 9:34 pm

o whoops i was talking about “thankyou” there. :D

  72. 72 Aya October 27, 2007 at 11:59 am

That music video was really awesome in such a bad awesome way. Otherwise another terribly written pointless post. I didn’t like goong. I liked Full House. I don’t really like Korean things they are all the same, always sign a marriage contract with some loud obnoxious or ‘fat’ girl. Always fall in love. Meteor Garden, now there’s what a good show is all about. Koreans could learn a thing or two from Taiwan. Oh At the Dolphin Bay is great too.
Wait, I shouldnt support the bad writing.

  73. 73 YoungLark November 4, 2007 at 7:38 am

Popseoul, you are so right on about Thank You! It is one of the best K-dramas! Excellent casting and acting. I can watch it again and again. I’ve bought the OST and DVD for my library.

  74. 74 yo ho December 18, 2007 at 8:39 am

how come you guys are leaving out delightful girl chun hyang? becuz of that drama was the only reason why i wanted to watch WITCH AMUSEMENT. Honestly I THINK CHUN HYANG IS THE BEST DRAMA! and jaehee was just…(drool). HanCy too. frankly FH is getting too overrateed.

  75. 75 .... January 5, 2008 at 7:30 am

hello miss is overrated?? i find it very BOOOOORRIIINNGGGGGG

  76. 76 oh January 5, 2008 at 11:25 pm

Aya : “I don’t really like Korean things they are all the same, always sign a marriage contract with some loud obnoxious or ‘fat’ girl. Always fall in love.”

agree with aya. they’re all almost the same. esp the main girl is always loud, no manner, liar, immature. and they like to sign contract.

take My Girl for example. and Fullhouse. and Goong, and Sweet 18. and oh, too many. wueeekk..
but my girl is the best example coz the main girl is too loud and she thought she’s cute by being loud? i hate her. is all the korean girls like that? i wonder

  77. 77 seshou January 11, 2008 at 9:03 pm

all i have to say…………..full house is the best korean drama ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  78. 78 Devin January 16, 2008 at 10:02 am

i watched thank you…it’s in my top five at place number 2…the second best drama i’ve ever seen (my girl is first…^_^)

  79. 79 yoyo February 18, 2008 at 2:26 am

The Devil is a really interesting drama.. it goes beyond the typical love triangle. Watching every episode was essential to understand the plot. It’s not like most of the other dramas (my girl, que sera sera) where you can skip draggy episodes and still follow the story!!

  80. 80 yoyo February 18, 2008 at 2:27 am

And there main actress in the Devil is NOT a loud/annoying character!! =)

  81. 81 . February 21, 2008 at 5:45 am

i guess fullhouse is on the 5th because it was long ago eh? like 5 years before? coz it was the best drama for me.
well, about 5 years ago, and still in the top charts, cool :)

  82. 82 se7rhan February 24, 2008 at 3:39 pm

hooooohhhhhh! my girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and hello miss!!!! go lee da hae!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  83. 83 Mae March 7, 2008 at 12:30 pm

I agree “My Girl” is probably the best Korean Series I’ve seen. and since then I became a fan of Lee Da Hae and all her films. Then I realized, her portrayal of Yoo Rin is so different from her previous projects. She’s probably the best Korean Actress ever

  84. 84 bluegail11 March 13, 2008 at 10:44 pm

    COUPLE OR TROUBLE for me..

  85. 85 ladiihpnotiq March 15, 2008 at 5:26 am

Eck full house? Really… well I guess I’ll jz keep my trap shut but …really? Full house?

  86. 86 Kate March 20, 2008 at 1:17 pm

Thank you for the poll. I agree!

    1. My Girl (the best Kdrama so far)
    2. My Name is Kim Sam Soon (believable story line & dialogue)
    3. Full House (leads are great)

I’m a huge fan of Lee Da Hae and I think she is BRILLIANT! She never bore me and when I watch her films it’s like watching another person.

  87. 87 jujube March 20, 2008 at 2:00 pm

    My favorites by order

    1. My Name is Kim Sam Soon - the best Korean series ever made. I just saw it again after two years and realized how good a show it is compared with all the others I’ve seen!

    2. My Girl - for pure entertainment value! But it has nothing on Kim Sam Soon in terms of quality and depth and acting.

    3. Sweet 18 tied with Vineyard Man (The couples were too cute!)

    4. Attic Cat / Cat on the Rooftop

    5. Full House

    6. Princess Hours / Goong

    7. Fantasy Couple / Couple or Trouble

    8. Jewel in the Palace - just cuz of the historical detail- its get annoying after a while.

  88. 88 hhhhh April 12, 2008 at 8:49 am

yeah my top three is in top three!!!!!!!!!
    1. MY GIRL
    2. MY NAME IS KIM SAM SOON
    3. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

  89. 89 Junior Wonder August 31, 2008 at 3:52 pm

Bad Family is so UNDERRATED… well I am glad it is on the list.
