Lining the major streets of Seoul were Tak-guk-kis to celebrate 62 years of Liberation, which was smack in the middle of the week this year (August 15th). However, as the years go by, less and less people put up flags in front of their houses. Stars are no different. This year, house-dwellers, Rain, Song Hye-gyo and Kim Seung-woo all had flags flying high while no stars living in luxury condos had theirs out (i.e. Kim Hee-sun, Han Chae-young and Jeon Do-yeon). For apartments dwellers, only Lee Young-ae and Soh Yu-jin showed love, but Park Sang-a did not.
On a side note, it is interesting to see where the stars live! Rain and Ms. Song must be raking it in to live in a house in one of Korea’s most expensive neighborhoods -Samsong-dong. Similarly, Han Chae-young lives in an luxury condo in Samsong-dong. Close by in Nonhyun-dong is Kim Hee-sun and Jeon Do-yeon in Apk-jong. Perhaps this explains why I spotted her waltzing in Krispy Kremes at Apku station!

and when you look at the apartments where lee young ae and so yoo jin lives, theyre like the only ones in the whole complex with flags raised

How are we the ones who didn’t hang up their flags weren’t under certain restrictions from the condo people. I know when you move into certain building you aren’t allowed to hang or put certain things outside.

Anyway, it could very well be that the stars who have no flag out simply were not at home. They could be away out of town filming or out of the country on vacation. Who knows? I do think putting the flag out on Independence Day is just a MUST. Who wouldn’t do that if they are home? But then again, in America many people have a flag on their house year round, not just 4th of July.
I think it’s a bit cruel for anyone to suggest a lack of patriotism just because some of these homes don’t have a flag out.
