The 13 freaks + 1 violinist aka Super Junior received the most media attention at Asia Song Festival so we decided to give them what they deserve - a honest critique of their Freaks R Us haircuts.
Despite the 180 degrees transformation, Siwon and Kibum look hot.
Kangin’s buzz cut is still fugly! He looks chubbier and funnier. I say he borrow a wig from Hyori to cover that fugly thing up.
A third of the SuJu members bleached their hair, making it harder to distinguish them on stage, but I guess that doesn’t matter because these boys are in the background most of the time anyways. But glad to see Kyu Hyun back on stage with the rest of the freaks.
Hee Chul is des-per-ate for attention. What’s up with the disgusting red ponytail? Dang, he still looks like a girl no matter what he does.
Lee Teuk the Liar also has the fake orange ponytail. And why are the rest of the members feeling him up on stage? Is this how they enjoy themselves behind closed doors?
Eun Hyuk got rid of the bowl haircut and dyed his hair orange. I wonder if he made a move on his crush yet.
I now understand why Henry covered up half of his face with his hair before.

To make it short:
1. Kangin’s haircut is ugly and makes him look chubby. Bleh!
2. Kyuhyun should not have gone for blonde, it makes him look sick and his face pasty colored like Hero’s did in the ‘O’.Jung.Ban.Hap video or maybe it was just the lighting.
3. I don’t know why, but I actually liked it when I couldn’t see Henry’s face…made him more mysterious..but he is good looking, I don’t get where you’re getting at Popseoul.
4. I actually like Heechul’s hair, he always looked best in red.
5. The pelvis thrusting here is waaay worse than in ‘U’.
6. Why, oh, why did SM put that Eeteuk feely part in there!!?? It is awkward, and if they had to do it, at least use female dancers…boy on boy does not look good..it’s better as girl on boy or boy on girl…
7. The rest of the members look hawt to me!

There’s gossip and snark blogs for American showbiz, why can’t we have one for Korean? You can’t just praise a person all the time, criticism has to come to whether it be positive or negative.
Incidentally, I think around a third of Super Junior look the same, a third just changed their hair colour and dumped in some hair wax, and the last third do, indeed, look like freaks.

everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but it seems like popseoul has some sort of vendetta against a lot of korean celebrities.
despite your “experience” with the entertainment industry, I think you should be more understanding of where these people are coming from - a lot of them worked their asses off to get where they are today, and even if they do have considerable success, sometimes they don’t get to control the image they want to project to the public due to the various agendas of the companies for whom they work.
In addition, although making run of people from your own ethnicity might be funny up to a certain point, beyond that point, it only makes you look stupid and incredibly childish - after all, you can’t change your ethnicity no matter, i.e., how much eyelid surgery you do.
Anyway, just my 2 cents.
with regard to my opinion about super junior’s concept for their album, well, they’re still young enough to be trying out this kind of stuff, so why not?
i don’t think dbsk’s hair looked worse in triangle. i mean, jaejoong and junsu had girl hair but hey, they totally pulled off the rocker look. and dbsk can make up anything with their singing.
and the person who said jaejoong looked pasty in “O”, i personally love the bad-boy look. he looks completely manly in that mv. but i must say, i like his current blond and his step by step blonde more.

I understand why Popseoul bash them for their looks. It’s because they suck in the talent department so they atleast need to look extra cool or hot to make up for it. Ok maybe some of them have talents but when most of your group members suck then a few members can’t really save the whole group anyway.
Henry looks normal but that’s ok! Talent comes first. And it’s not like his talent is just the common dancing or singing like any other popstars out there. I just hope he can sing well because if it’s just mediocre like Son Dam Bi (I expected atleast that much from a singer) then he should just stick to playing the violin while dancing.

Liberalis, I stick by what I said about PopSeoul. If you haven’t actually lived in Korea then you honestly shouldn’t talk. The whole fan/anti thing is BLOWN UP LIKE HELL. There’s not even over about 7 incidents through kpop history that anti and fans took their actions to dangerously physical levels. It seems like people can only think of 1.The Yunho incident. But the girl that had put the glue in his drink was actually mentally ill. So I don’t see how that works out. And 2.The Suju Suicide incident. Okay, that girl was on star king for losing an EXTREME amount of weight in a little bit of time. She was harassed for being fat even before the Suju meeting. And suicide isn’t something that just happens from one incident, it’s an amount of negative emotions piled up over time. Infact, anti/fan incidents are mainly ONLINE. And Popseouls isn’t making snide remarks. If it was a group YOU liked it wouldn’t be snide remarks, but over the top insults. And I don’t even like Suju. I think most the SM artists are insanely over rated. My opinion is only being stated because I find PopSeoul a horrible hypocrite. If anything is “ridiculous”, it is probably many (not all!) of the comments found on this article, if you could call it that.
You have to understand that this blog belongs to POPSEOUL! first and foremost. They can say whatever the hell they want. It is natural for fans of a certain group, in this case Super Junior, to rush to defend them if they, as readers, find it particularly offensive or hurtful. Realize that not everyone (absolutely shocking, right?) will not be a fan of this style; POPSEOUL! is one of them, and they are simply voicing their opinions on the topic (which would be their hair).
Sure, there are times when I find some of the things written by POPSEOUL! a little harsh, but let’s be real. POPSEOUL! isn’t writing about you personally, so why should you be offended?
And sure, “if someone was writing about how ugly and this and that about you”, any normal person would be offended. But I highly doubt Super Junior is going to go online one day, decided to read up on some English blogs about Korean pop culture. Honestly.

favorite Korean Stars. But sometimes I see that popseoul
just crosses the line too far that make them seem like
they have all the power and freedom to make statements like

I don’t know how you would feel to be described this way,

i’m glad that there are more people that thing this blog is getting to be a bit much. kudos to all of you for saying so. i come here because i liked hearing some of the gossip, info and going ons of seoul-celeb life. but honestly, the harsh criticisms of SM artists especially are becoming too much. an opinion is nice, but perhaps it should be less bias indeed. i’d like to see more info and LESS TRASH… but perhaps that’s asking a bit much, and if so, i’d like to apologize then.

And well Siwon, Kibum, and Heechul can’t do so much with their hair like dye it or cut it so dramatically because they are the main actors of the group (Heechul is actually wearing a wig).
Even though I don’t want to be one of those Elves who are going crazy and defending SuJu, but I have to say what you said was a bit harsh. Actually, most things you’ve said about some SM artists are harsh.
I mean Super Junior is a 13 member group, that was heavily criticized when they first debut. But in the past 2 years, they’ve grown and have gotten better, keeping a strong fanbase at the same time. Have you not heard them sing live during the Music Bank performance? They’ve proven that they worked extremely hard with this album. Dancing, singing, outfits, they work their hardest for this one.
I don’t understand your hatred or rather harsh comments to these boys who have been through so much, but have kept doing their best. I know you have freedom of speech, but the fact that you sound nothing more then an anti, well I don’t know what more to say.
I actually like the new image of Suju. They look pretty wow with their strong dance moves

If you really like them, you wouldn’t do those type of things because it will only make other people think that SuJu fans are crazy. If you want to change their minds about SuJu then prove to them that SuJu are worth it. From all of the bashings above, it’ll only make matter worst.
SuJu wouldn’t want you guys to go around cursing at people who have different opinions about them. And they change their image because of their new album (most artists do that!), they’ll go through many more phases in their career (take ShinHwa for example); so as a fan, you need to support them only.

This is a personal blog. This is not a paid thing. They don’t even have ads anywhere on this site or maybe I just missed it. That means they’ve got all the right to bash anyone regardless of people who would hate them for doing so. Me, I can tolerate this much bashing even if I’m a fan but in this case I am nowhere near being a fan of Suju.
The only solution that is possible here is for POPSEOUL haters to just stop visiting this site, increasing their traffic and just find a site that you don’t find offensive in any way. Instead of wasting your precious minutes getting agitated over these kinds of articles then go find articles that praises your idols anyway! I bet there are more fans of Suju than antifans right?
