Since his failure in breaking out in the music industry in 2007, Nam Hyun Joon, otherwise known as Poppin Hyun Joon, has joined the Hallyu wave to try his hand as a big screen actor.
Kung Fu Pop is his new Hallyu vehicle where Nam plays one of three main dancers who compete not only for love but for the title “Dancing King”. Based on the storyline alone, the movie sounds like a flop.
Mr. Nam may soon be wash up of the Hallyu wave, like, you know Magic Feet, you know.
Kung Fu Pop, also starring Fann Bing Bing and Jordan Chan Siu-chun opened in China at the end of July 2008.
Sounds lame and definitely unoriginal.

Cant blame Popseoul for mentioning Magic Feet -yet again. He sets oh-so-high standards for English language ability and bad hair day, among other things.

Oy. This movie is hilariously mockable. Watch it online at vitamovie.com. It’s painful but the closing dance/song was so ridiculously bad that it up this film to cult status. Judge for yourself.
poppin was ok. gave it a shot. his fault was getting into a Z-list production. chinese youth culture is funny to see tho.

I watched the movie just for him;
it was just like a Chinese version of Step Up.
I thought that with Poppin’ Hyun Joon in it,
the dancing would be amazing,
but the dances were amazingly… bland.
Poppin’ should just be grateful with where he is now
as a dancer.
Can’t deny his awesome skills;
Watched it on CR and I thought it was rly gd – well the dancing was gd but the storyline was crap :/
