Making her English film debut, Song Hye-kyo’s new Hollywood vehicle, “Make yourself at home” (시집) (originally titled “Fetish”) will have its world premiere at the 2008 Pusan International Film Festival this year.

The film is about a Korean native woman named , Sook-hee (played by Song Hye-kyo), who possesses the power of Shamanism and is married to a Korean-American named Peter (Rob Yang). Eighty-percent of her lines will be in English. Let’s hope that her English speaking skills are up to par with her looks.

“Make yourself at home”, directed by Sohn Soopum who studied film in New York city, is the collaborative U.S.-Korea joint production. The film will also stars Arno Frisch and Kyopo actors, Rob Yang and Clarissa Park.

Song Hye Kyo is currently filming her up and coming drama “The World We Live In” with Hyun Bin.

Just because the Korean director studied in NYC, doesn’t make it a ‘Hollywood Vehicle’ Are any Hollywood actors in it? That would help make it a ‘Hollywood Vehicle’

I’m sick of people pumping stuff up to be what it’s really not. It’s an Asian movie made in the states, not a ‘Hollywood Vehicle’.

Had me thinking it had Hollywood directors, actors and such. It’s an Indie movie.

^The movie was made in New York, yes, but the director is also based in the US and not just a graduate from the US.

And yes, the leading man is a Hollywood actor. He may not be that famous but he is. Check imdb.com

mia: She is ugly!! Getting old as well. Something about her mouth that’s creepy :S

Her full lips are her strong feature. Anyway, I like her and, thank Buddha, that a Korean-American actor is playing the role of her husband. I’m really sick and tired of seeing White guys and Asian girls pairs (but, not Asian guys and White girls pairs) that fetishize Asian girls and desexualize Asian guys in the racist West.

she’s so damn pretty but the pic scared me for a second lol. Watching too much horror movies. Anywho, she’s a great actress and I’m sure she did fine…hopefully so did her english since I never heard her spoke english before I can’t really judge but as long as it’s understandable and don’t leave me going “wtf just came out of your mouth?” I have no doubt in her acting though.

  24. 25 erick September 12, 2008 at 7:26 pm

Her character possesses the power of Shamanism. Already the film is craptastic.

  27. 28 J September 13, 2008 at 3:11 am

She is beautiful but I think I didnt exactly like this photo, looks kindof scary! Prefer her with light make up on(:

  28. 29 727 September 14, 2008 at 1:33 pm

I don’t know what she looks like without the heavy ghostly makeup, but she’s soso in the photos.

  29. 30 PVL September 25, 2008 at 6:07 pm

She is much prettier with out makeup and all – I love her more when she is just plain and simple – and she is really a good actress.
