With his comeback album, “rainism” and his attempt to take over the world with it, we should try to get to know the man a bit better. To do that, you first need to understand his language. POPSEOUL! has picked the top 5, “Rainisms” to get inside the mind and menu of the so-called “world star,” Rain.
Check it.
[Shouts out to POPSEOULer, Sara for the brilliant idea]

5th: “Finally, I make it”
How cute is that? -not. Sounds like something a five year old child would say, but a grown man said it on his comeback special on MBC in October 2008.

4th: “you know”
Rain used “you know” at every opportunity during his English interviews at Comic con in the summer, you know. You know that he must have been really nervous, you know, but that’s not an excuse, you know to speak in “you knows.”
An excerpt from the Latinoreview.com interview in response to training for his role in Ninja Assassin:
You know every time you know every day I throw up. [LAUGHS] It was really hard. You know it almost killed me.

3rd: “Magic Feet”
In our phone interview with Rain this summer (sorry the interview is no longer available), the singer himself told us to call him: “magic feet.” So now we know the extent of his creativity- from “magic feet” to “magic stick” (see below)

2nd: “magic stick” or pronounced by Rain as “majesty”
So we know Rain is desperate to settle down. For goodness sakes, the man referred to his 2 swords in the promo movie poster for Ninja Assassin as his “2 girlfriends.” And he recently confessed he is going to get married next year (more on that later). So now we know what he wants to do with “Magic stick? Too much information.
“Magic stick” is part of the creative lyrics written by Rain for his latest song, “Bad Boy.”

And finally…drum roll please…..
1st: “controlling my mind and menus with chicken breast and vegetables…”
This is easily best line of 2008. The pop star used the memorized phrase a few times in his English interviews at Comic com in San Diego at the end of July 2008 (and we have used it relentlessly on POPSEOUL!). Best. Line. Ever.
Just in case you missed it, check it out the interviews for movieweb.com, Latinoreview.com and here.

People seem attracted to negativity. I honestly don’t care what people say about Rain. I like his music. I am not going to worship him. I appreciate his artistry. When he starts making something I don’t like then we will have a disagreement and I won’t be buying into his career. Pop Seoul makes fun of rain and makes assumptions. It’s not new, and believe me, Perez Hilton trashes people a whole lot worse. Eh.
Wow!so many comments above me
Nice one popseoul you’ve got plenty of hits on your blog
I’ve noticed it though that you’re always writing negative things on Rain..I wonder why? Did he do something bad to you before? Uh oh..
But I like your blog though..It’s great! You put so much effort in this..Keep it up!Just stop writing things about Rain coz it’s so like “yesterday” really!I’ve been reading your blog since last year and you’re still writing these stuffs on him..Why don’t you just be fair to all hallyu artists? That would be better coz in Journalism, a GOOD writer should not be BIASED..You have a good potential to be a good writer ^.^
TO RAIN’S FANS:
Darn!stop all these bashing of words to popseoul. It won’t help ok?!Every artist in this world have an anti-fan so just CHILL!!!
those “rainism patriotism’nes”
-articles on Rain so people will read the blog-even more desperate to gain readers-
popseoul didnt have to because you’re already ridin’ along.
as if rain would understand what the headline means and perhaps he is smiling to ear about it thinking that yeah Finally, i make it.. you know??
because rain DOESNT EVEN KNOW ANY OF THIS . Just how to get your dumb mind into This Is Just One of That Many Other Celebrity Gossip BLOG! unlike that -not funny joke blog who ehem.. bae doo na should slap some makeup… posting only her bad sides photos and shamelessly maybe there are one of you who laugh along too.
Now is that okay to joke around with someonelse’s face who is naturally just herself to go under knife to satisfy your greed fat btch mouth. now is that okay then?
omg! Hyorish and Rainism!! LOL!! that comment above is funny!!
yeah, i was thinking..what? album title “It’s Hyorish”? and now “Rainism”?
they feel they have their own world to have that kind of self proclaimed adjective.
now that someone has brought it up, the titles don’t look unique anymore. Did Rain copy the idea from Hyori or was he quite surprised Hyori was thinking the same thing, except that she released her album first?
POPSEOUL, this was a fricking hilarious article.
) I haven’t laughed this much in one of your articles, ever.
i will so check your blog everyday now for any fun, cool stuff – you’re like voicing the inner cattiness in me.
and all those popseoul haters/rain patriots – come on, chill. hahaha there’s a very low chance Rain will actually read this – and even lower that he’ll understand it.
LOLOL.
CHICKEN BREAST ( and veggies ) FOR DA MAAAAN
I think Rainism is best described as the era of Rain. It centers on the whole embodiment of Rain’s persona, the magnitude of his appeal which of course borders on eroticism. But what about it. Rain is simply here to entertain people. If people are offended by it, then they must not listen to Rain. Obviously they do not appreciate the guy’s efforts. I don’t understand why people make a big deal out of it. For me he is a total, complete performer. He knows his craft to the limit. So what if his English grammar is not satisfactorily correct. He will learn, just give him time. At least he could speak English somehow. I bet you, not all Korean actors could even speak conversational English. Rain does.
Seriously? Stop harping on the man’s English skills. No wait, stop harping on anyone who didn’t grow up learning English. It IS difficult to learn English when you’ve grown up speaking your native tongue. For him to even pronounce some words, I applaud him.
Grow up, PopSeoul.
2nd dat
“controlling my mind and menus with chicken breast and vegetables…”
THAT IS CLASSIC!
Haha, I like it when POPSEOUL! writes about Rain. They’re always funny in a way. XD
And this article was no exception, it sure was funny. ;D Though I do like Rain. He’s doing good still and some of his songs are great. :c
But I liked his “Finally, I make it” the most (after the chicken breast of course), why did it come 5th? XD Like.. what did you actually finally make, Rain? Tell meeh. ;D
big fan…..rain….
