Yes, Halloween is right around the corner. And for all those procrastinators out there who haven’t thought of a Halloween costume yet, we are here to help.
Check out the tasty Halloween costumes that will make you the life of the party.
Campus couple
Costume requirements: Easy
So you have a bf or gf and don’t know what to wear? Why not wear the same outfit from head to toe like Jo In-sung and Sung Yuri. If someone asks, tell them you are a “couple from Korea”. Simple.
Idol group
Costume requirements: Medium
Have you always wanted to be an idol star with adoring fans who massage your butt? Well it’s not that difficult. All you have to do is to round up everyone you know (girls or boy). If you want to be this year’s hottest acts, SHINee or the Wondergirls, take note of the following costume guidelines:
SHINee
Two things: slim pants and bowl cuts. The pants must be pastel and must be tight enough squish your internal organs together. Also, can’t forget the bowl cut - a sign that you are “hip and happening.” And for the finishing touch, wear crazy fluorescent colored shoes. Oh, and you don’t have to be a guy…girls are ok too.
Wondergirls
To be the Wondergirls, you must have 4 other friends who look the same (not difficult if you had the same nose job, eye folds, and shaved jaw). Next, dig out all the leopard print from the back of your closet and wear it any which way you want, paired with jewel colored stockings. If you want to stand out, remember to wear a diaper, like Sohee (in chic leopard print, of course!) Also, choose someone you don’t like to wear the uglier version of the outfit (every group has one). Voila, you now have the look from the “So Hot” album. As an added bonus, find a random gorilla to play JYP!
Ant couple: Suh In-young and Crown J
Costume requirements: Easy
Going trick-or-treating as couple? Then you should try going as ”We Got Married!”’s favorite couple, Seo In-Young and Crown J!
Ladies, cut your hair into a bowlcut (if you have one already- bonus!) and put on the most ridiculously skanky outfit you can find in your closet. After that, all you have to do is hit, embarrass and boss around your boyfriend like you are his mother. Oh and whine in a nasally voice….that’s it!
Guys, dress as “gangsta” as possible by wear a baseball cap, repeatedly yelling out, “L.A.” but somehow mysteriously represent Atlanta, and screaming “A!” with your fingers in an upside-down ‘V’ every time your girlfriend screams at you.
G-Dragon (Big Bang)
Costume requirements: Easy
To be like Mr. fashonista himself, G-dragon, the possibilities are endless. The easiest costume is just pretend you are a girl (check above). Wear dark eyeliner, get a few tattoos on your skinny forearms, wear t-shirts that say “I love sex” or wear all black with or without a fur cap.
Jae-joong (Dong-bang-shin-ki)
Costume requirements: Easy
If you are fortunate enough to have a concave chest, then take advantage of it! It’s super duper easy to be a member of idol group, Dong-bang-shin-ki with 800,000 fans! just open your shirt to expose your belly button, throw on a few thin chains, place one hand in your pant pocket (to look cool) and voila! Get ready for the mobs of girls chasing you down and calling out “oppa!”

Some of them might not not be the best looking, but at least when you punch their nose, a rod won’t come shooting out of their foreheads (hint, hint Mrs. Ant).

Us Aussies never heard much about Halloween until several years ago when, as per typical, for reasons unknown to myself, some folk here decided to do a copy cat. Sad to say Aussies always do that. I mean copy cat all the weird things from the US of A. Maybe it was due to all the folks that came to live here from the States? Now we have crazy kids dressed up as bad people sticking super glue in our front door locks, letting down car tyres & even throwing eggs if they dont like the handouts. I thought doing a copy of the US of A’s Valentine’s Day was bad enough…when will we ever learn to do our own thing in Aussie land?
