GEE” when will it stop?

snsd_20090505

Is it really that great of a song?

The media for the “Gee” virus is almost heavier than the press surrounding the swine flu (H1N1). Variety shows just love dancing to its catchy beat and music programs always welcome a different rendition of the song. The Infinity Challenge crew, Navi, K.Will, UI, and countless others are riding on the “Gee” storm will their own versions. Most of them are all actually better than SNSD own performance. That’s because all the other artists pull out really nice acoustic and R&B covers- except for Infinity Challenge’s parody but that was way more entertaining than watching SNSD performing it.

Youn-ha has even made it into the press recently specifically because she is doing an R&B cover of the song on an upcoming episode of “Music Vacation LaLa,” which is a really fanciful title for a show by the way. How is that really newsworthy? Poor Younha can’t get press for her own songs that she has to cover a teeny bopper’s to get some press.

For “Gee,” it’s already been 4-5 months now since the release – let it go already!

I really like the song and I think that it’s kind of cute. I may not be able to understand it since it’s in Korean(I think), and the translation may be a bit off…still it’s a fun song

Actually, it’s really about 3 months or more that Gee has truly lasted; their first two months were freebies. Who could help submit to it when during January and February there was virtually nothing BUT Gee?

And yeah. The song’s annoying. It could’ve earned some catchiness points from me if they didn’t sing, “Gee gee gee gee baby baby.” That sounds like something kindergarteners would sing. Plus, the music hurts my head and it doesn’t help that SNSD’s done practically nothing but LOVE songs.

For those of you who think we’re antis/haters or any of that nonsense, everyone can have their own opinion, and other netizens don’t need to hear your same old, “Everyone’s JEALOUS of SNSD!” theory, when it hardly applies to most of us. To those who call this the greatest song ever, thank you for the humor. I REALLY appreciate it. XD What’s even worse is that Gee is such a generic-sounding song. At least with Tell Me, JYP started scheming with that twisted, twisted mind of his and had us fall under the spell of retro electronica beats. Lame, I know. But hey. WG certainly pulled it off

For me, Gee isn’t a great song, but it is a catchy song. I don’t know why, but everytime I hear the song, it will keep playing on my head until the days over.
Somehow, you gotta love this song…

Popseoul, you really are biased aren’t you?

Why don’t you be neutral and just give us some damn good news.

I can seriously tell you dislike Girls Generation, but get over yourselves.

    i love
    GEE
    so that
i made my own video dancing “GEE”

Actually SM did a really good job at timing everything – that’s why “Gee” was (and probably still is) popular. Correct me if I’m wrong but when “Gee” came out, not a lot of other artists (like Super Junior, Wondergirls, TVXQ, etc.) didn’t released new singles so basically, SNSD had the advantage. It’s a cute song but SNSD could’e done better.

OK First of all who writes these articles?
because obviously the person who published this has something against Girls Generation.
I have read many other articles about Big Bang, Wonder Girls , Shinee and other artists but it’s really funny how their articles are positive and supportive, while everything and every article about girls generation is bad or is it a good idea? or is it true?
As a matter of fact yes Gee is a great song!
    Seriously take your own advice!
aren’t you antis always telling us soshi fans to not look at anti stuff you come up with?
Well maybe you shouldn’t listen to their songs and publish bias articles about Girls Generation.
